A letter was extracted from its container after being found practically buried in the sand. The message was well worn but seemed to have a hint of magic protecting it from being damaged, though there was no clue as to how old it was. The letter says the following:

Days and days have passed and after a horrible storm we still have no idea where we are, totally lost in these lands. If anyone finds this letter, please send help! I fear it may be too late to save us but at the very least there is more here besides our lives that can be saved. I worry most about my companions as they seem to blame these happenings on me... if only I listened to their words and set out a few days later. They said it was far too easy to be lost in these lands. It is clear that they are slowly losing their minds and to make matters worse, monsters of some sort seem to be circling us now. Even though I send this message out, I feel all hope is lost. My crew will surely haunt our graves out of their pure hatred for me. Be wary if you come to our aid for it may be too late to save our bodies or souls but maybe there is something here worth the effort. The monsters are beginning to close in and I shall send this letter out before it is too late.

That is all that was written in the message. It seems after a bit of investigating that the writer could be a rich merchants guild leader as he has been missing for quite some time. However nobody seems to know where he left from or where he was headed. Surely there is some clue in his letter though.

Could a GM reward item be added for people who GM all the bardic skills? Once you GM musicianship, discordance, peacemaking, and provocation you get a reward gump, if you only have 1/4 or 3/4 GMed nothing.

I think it would be cool if you could choose the instrument and color. For the instrument it would only be the basic ones like lute, drums, harp, tambourine, etc. Unless of course the staff wants to be really generous and include one of the instruments you can craft like war drums, flutes, etc Smile

Would it be possible to add a preview feature for the GM Tailor reward tub? It's hard to tell how clothes will look by the little picture of the tub. Maybe add a preview button and when you press it it dyes all your clothes that hue instead of the tub on the gump. Then if you change the color on the gump your clothes change color as well, but if you press ok or if you move a tile your clothes get restored to their previous color. I have a feeling that it's possible to do the preview and restore part since I've seen GMs joke around in tours where they dye everyone and their clothes a certain color and then restore them to what they were.

I'm about to get a new tub because I'm finishing Tailoring on a second character and last time I paged a GM to show me what the tub would look like because I didn't want to risk taking it and it turns out to be ugly. And if it did turn out to be ugly I didn't want to have to ask a GM to change it for me which I have a feeling would not be easy to get done since the GM could say something like 'well I don't know how long you had it so maybe you already dyed a bunch of stuff this color, so no I can't do it. sorry.'

Another reason to do it this way is because you get to choose the tub color unlike with the random dye tubs you can buy so I think you should get a chance to see it.

Just another little thing that would be nice to have.

Explanation of skill gain:
INX skill gain is repetition based and not difficulty based, which means you can make the easiest item over and over and gain skill whether you have 40 or 90 points in that skill. As you gain skill it gets progressively longer to gain each .1 skill. You will probably get lucky sometimes and gain .1 in only a few attempts and other times you might get stuck for a while. Don't worry too much about getting stuck, it will average out.

Suggestion on what to make:
All the basic items you make with Tinkering require iron or wood. But unlike Blacksmithy you have to use regular iron to train Tinkering, you can't use old copper or some other ore. We have a few different types of items we can make to GM Tinkering and it depends what resource you rather collect or buy to train Tinkering. Personally I wanted to GM both Lockpicking and Remove Trap so first I trained Remove Trap by putting a bolt trap (crossbow bolt) on a chest and using the skill to remove it. Once that was done I made a bunch of lockpicks to train lockpicking and sold the leftovers for 6gp each. You can find my macro to train lockpicking here once you think you have enough lockpicks. Since i took tinkering as one of my starting skill I got it at 95, if you didn't you might need to raise lockpicking some before you can make lockpicks or traps, I don't remember the skill requirements for each.

If you want to do these two skills, once you're done them you should probably keep making lockpicks since they require low skill and they sell for 6gp per ingot used. The highest gold to ingot ratio I found. I didn't try different wood items since I was happy with this.

Why would I GM Tinkering?
1. Tinkering alone won't let you make any cool items, but combined with some other skills you can. For example you can make potion kegs, some of INX's custom armors, and you can also make lockable chests once you get the skill high enough.

Sorry, there's no bonus GM reward item after GMing tinkering.

My results:
Since I took one of my starting skills as Tinkering (you get 95 points in the skill!) I don't have as complete or as accurate a table as with the other guides I made. I estimate it took about 4k lockpicks, 2k bolt traps, and maybe 500 of a variety of other items to go from 95 to 100 Tinkering.

Tinkering Mass Production Macro:

Here is the macro I used to GM Tinkering from the safety and comfort of my own home and by making the same item over and over

Assistant.Macros.AbsoluteTargetAction|0|0|1075874684|1731|982|7|3650
Assistant.Macros.PauseAction|00:00:02

Notes:

 1. When you open this macro in Razor, on the line that says "if weight <= 40" right click this, select edit and change this to whatever your weight is without any iron on you.
 2. Before starting the macro simply double click your tinkering kit and make one lockpick.
 3. Add the lockpick to organize agent 5 and set the hot bag to a chest on the floor or in your bank.
 4. Add iron to restock agent 2 and set the hot bag to your backpack. You want to set the amount to 100 or so.
 5. Right-click the "absolute target" line after the restock agent and select 're-target' and target your container with your ingots.
 6. I suggest you keep everything in the top level of the container and not in a bag in a bag ... in a bag in the container because sometimes it wouldn't restock for me and ended up getting stuck.
 7. If you are going to do this at a bank instead of a house add a line in before the organize and restock agents where you say bank in case your guy turns and closes your bank while the macro is running.
 8. For some reason this message keeps getting posted with a space in the word false on the fourth line of the macro. Make sure it's not there when you copy over the macro to a New Text Document.

Remove Trap and Tinkering Macro:

Since you can only apply 1 trap per chest at a time, your best way to do this is to make a trap, remove it, and repeat. This macro will do that for you and retrap a chest as you remove the trap.

Assistant.Macros.EndIfAction
Assistant.Macros.EndIfAction

Notes:
 1. The first part of the macro is to heal just incase you set off the trap when trying to remove it, but I don't think it happened even one time for me!
 2. The first absolute target you want to change to target a water trough or glass pitcher, etc.
 3. The second absolute target (after useskill Remove Trap) you want to right click, select re-target and target your chest
 4. The last absolute target you want to right click, select re-target and the container you will trap.
 5. For some reason this message keeps getting posted with a space in the word false on some lines of the macro. Make sure it's not there when you copy over the macro to a New Text Document.

Let me know if you have any trouble with the macros or suggestions.

To copy these macros, go to the Macros folder in the Razor folder (a common place for Razor is C:\Program Files\Razor), make a New Text Document and copy the macro above in the quotes into the new files and save and close the file. Restart Razor and your new macros should be there.

The tournament will start Sunday, 22:00 server time!

As you may have noticed there are now spawning Fighting C○cks!

In the coming days I will host a c○ck fighting tourney, which will take place at the arena southwest of Britain!

This is how it will work;

● The fee of entering is 2000gp.

● To enter you'll have to inform me, this can be done until the last minute before the event starts.

● You will have to name your c○ck. This to make the bettings easier.

● Once I've got the list of all participants, I'll make a schedule of the fights, which will be posted here in this thread once it's done.

● The fights will be 1vs1, so the schedule will come in a form of a tournament ladder. (Ex. from google pictures; http://img.wonkette.com/images/2006/05/C...er%202.GIF)

● Before every fight, I will collect bets from everyone who wishes. You will be able to bet on any fight you want and on any c○ck you want, even your own.

● The bets can be claimed after the tourney.

● The prize money will go to first (75%) and second place (25%). Hopefully the winner will also get some sort of a trophy from staff.

Important Notes

- Only your c○ck can affect what's happening during the game!
NO MAGIC NOR BANDAGES ARE ALLOWED If this happens you will immediately be disqualified!

- The Fighting C○cks can be trained! So make sure to train your c○ck, to increase its chanses to win!

- If you care about your c○ck, which you may have spent alot of time on training, then carry a shrink potion during the game and be ready to shrink it as it's about to die. But remember, SHRINKING YOUR C○CK WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A LOST

Other notes

- I myself will participate

- I have Fighting C○cks in different colors for sale, if you're interested.

If you have questions don't hesitate to ask!

These are the so far signed up participants;

1. Poukai (Lederoil)

2. Badfrosty (Token)

3. RobotChicken (Theo)

4. ChickenNorris (Samurai)

5. Depth (Technique)

6. AviaryChicken (Solid)

7. Taison (Devilman)

8. Sharky (Galdor)

9. MichaelJackson (Poseidon)

10. UnbeatableKing (Gang-Bang)

11. ScareCock (LudaKrishna)

12. VaLaRauKa (Erendis)

Updates;
________________________________________________________________________
Shade will add more prize money for first and second place. Also, if there will be more than 10 entries he will add an additional prize for the winner.
_________________________________________________________________________
There will be max 16 entries for the tourney! This to make the tournament ladder go out even.
I will go by the list above! So please, sign up now to make sure you will get a place in the tourney!

How ever, don't hestitate to sign up even if I get 16 names. Chances are that one or more can't make it, and then I'll replace him with the following names in the list.
__________________________________________________________________________
The bettings will work like this; on the prelims (The first 8 rounds if 16 participants) you can bet 1-3k. The bets will raise by each stage. It will be 2-6k on the quarter finals, 3-9k on the semi finals and 5-25k on the final.

(High betters are also welcome, how ever, in this case I will only function as a money holder. With that I mean there won't be any 'public' high bets, you will yourself have to agree on high bettings with someone else.)
____________________________________________________________________________________________
The place where the tournament will be held has changed! The were too many flaws with the Moonglow arena. The tournament will now instead be held at the arena southwest of Britain! (X: 1320 Y: 1824)

Ill try to explain myself the best i can.

I Logged today and i saw 9 online.
U really think the playerbase will be more than this one day?
Admins did a lot of changes and things but... it didnt helped.

I read lots of post and people seems that they dont like xuo players.
I want to tell them: What we did to you? we only pvp and kill u dont respect us because what? U think playing a empty server is better than have xuo players?
I voted yes to the merge cause i thought it will be good for the server. Shit i shouldnt have do that. The merge destroyed the server.

The skillgain ( in the pvp aspect that its the only thing ill change) its ...... well i dont want to say the word. Did u notice if u dont have a partner to macro with him u must spend A LOT OF TIME to set your pvp skills? and u need bandages and regs etc so u will need to waste more time that only the macro.

We(im talking about me and my friends) started to play uo at ... 13 years old more or less. Now im 21 and i wont waste my time macroing all day and hunting for resources. I have better things to do.

If u dont change some things server wont grow.

And i know this is not the first time i said. DONT BE AFK omfg u dont notice that if all the ppl is afk players will think playing in this server is a waste of time?

Sorry im not very good in english. See you

How much would this cost? Because we've bought a tower, and would like to have the rest of the doors coloured in the same hue as the guild doors. Would this be possible somehow? Or would we just have to buy guild doors for every door? Wink

The morning breeze was fresh, the sun was getting up and it was a beautiful morning to finally take this journey. I was the first to arrive, to prepare the boat along with Crelak, my younger brother. He is an apprentice in learning, an excellent hunter in the wild. Not long after we had begun loading the boat with supplies, Myrial arrived along with Ghazul. Myrial was a higher ranked person in our society, and he was in charge of this trip to give a sealed note to a captain at a port far away. Myrial was a pleasure to be around, always knowing when to laugh and when to be serious. He was a formal person, not the fighting type, he enjoyed tradesman related professions like crafting, forging and alike. Ghazul was, like Crelak, an apprentice, but with a more specific area focus. Crelak was more of a survivalist, living alone in the wild, where Ghazul was less independent but more focused on making everything come together. Ghazul loves the entire scenario of epic battles, but also has a passion for crafting and learning material goods.
My name is Andrew, I’m a Ranger of the North, born and raised in a family of tradition and belief. I was put on this boat for pure protection purposes, as a guardian of Myrial, along with the 2 apprentices. I have my father’s blessing watching over me, guiding me. The three of us does not know what the sealed letter contains of information. Our only job is to make sure nothing happens to Myrial, carrier of the sealed letter. We are loyal to heart, and intend to fulfill our job to perfection. Our entire society of Rangers is loyal to heart. We believe in the good every person has inside, no matter their current standing and occupation. We are humble people living in harmony with ourselves, treasuring each and every day. We consider ourselves blessed to have what we have, instead of cursing at what we lack. Every day is a blessing!
As we had all, except Myrial, finished loading the boat, we set off into the blue. It was still early morning, there was a beautiful yet disturbing fog above the water. It was very quiet, barely a wind moved. I felt a strange feeling inside, as if something was not right. Yet trusting in my father’s blessing, I said nothing and pretended all was fine. We had barely gotten out on open water before Ghazul started getting bored. He was eager to see where we were going, but only Myrial and I could know. The apprentices were not given the information, fearing it would shadow the experience they were to get from this voyage. It was only for their own good!
Crelak was up front in the boat with me talking about what I’ve seen in the world. He was eager to go on adventures, see the world. He was smiling all the time, very curious about this adventure. Not knowing much about the dangers that lie ahead, the smile never faded and he kept poking me asking why I looked so concerned. As I finally gave in and told him I had a feeling something was wrong, he suddenly looked worried. Ghazul and Myrial stopped their conversation instantaneously, staring straight at me silenced.
“What?” I asked and looked around at them. They just kept starring at me silenced. Ghazul was about to say something but kept holding back. An awkward silent moment came, till I broke the silence; “Look, I have my father’s blessing and guidance, everything’s going to be fine”. Crelak and Ghazul started looking around nervously.
After we had sailed for a few hours, they had calmed down but were still very quiet. I tried talking to them, explaining to them that it’s a large and dangerous world we live in. There are very few places you can feel safe. We came from an already very quiet and safe society. I’ve heard stories of vile places in the world, stories of murder and violence. This is something we are not used to in our society, something that is new to these two apprentices.
As the day went on, more stories were told and the mood was getting better. After we got some food, everything changed. The mood of the apprentices rose to the sky, as if they had new energy. I myself was calming down too, I had trust in my father’s blessing and forgetting the bad feelings I had in the morning as we sailed off. Myrial was studying a book about some ancient crafts of our forefathers, and was deeply buried in it.
We were now all in the open. No land in sight, just the ocean. The sea was getting rougher fast and the waves were growing dramatically. As it was getting more out of control, and risky for the boat, I consulted Myrial about us having to move closer to land and find an alternative route to our location. As we were in a smaller boat, we changed direction towards the south in hopes of finding better water. Within some hours, we could see land again. But it was not familiar land. These were new lands. As the land came closer, I stood up to look for some signs. The water was now softer and it was safe to sail once again.
When we were merely a few hounded yards from the land, I got that feeling of something being wrong again. “Something’s wrong..” I said. The others looked at me worried again. I looked back at them and told them to stay on their guard.
Crelak started to look intensely at the land, as if he was sensing something.
“This land has seen many wars. There is something evil here. Something ancient” he said. His eyes suddenly grew, as he looked into the water.
“SEA SERPENT” he screamed, as he grabbed his bow. None of us got a chance to see into the water before the boat got struck by something from below. We all fell to the deck.
“Ready your bows apprentices” I said.
We got on our feet again, drew bows and spread out at the sides. Nothing happened.. There was a moment of silence, but then there was another terrible strike on the boat. We all fell down, but got up quickly again.
“WE CAN’T SEE IT” Ghazul yelled. We were all standing looking into the water on both sides.
Just as we thought it would strike again, it got silent again. The apprentices stood very confused looking into the water, as if they were waiting for another attack. The silence continued..
“Make for land” I said. The others looked at me as if I was crazy. I looked back at them and yelled “NOW! We cannot fight this thing out here, it has all the advantages”
Crelak and Ghazul looked at each other and changed the sails.
I went to Myrial, who in silent asked me “Why isn’t it attacking anymore?” “Its gathering itself for a final strike” I said back. Myrial’s eyes grew big, as he realized this might end up very wrong. The apprentices were keeping watch for the Serpent at the sides.
Just as it looked like we were getting to even lower water, the Serpent struck again, this time with such force, the deck of the boat cracked and water started to flow in.
“Get what’s necessary and get ready to swim” I said. We quickly gathered what was most important, some light weapons and provisions, and made ready. The water was coming in quick by now, and the boat was slowly going down. As it was about to give after, we jumped in and started to swim towards land. Just after we jumped in, the boat was pulled into the deep by the Serpent.
We made it ashore safe, and were lying at the shore catching our breath. We were all alive, but where were we?
We all got up and gazed around. “Ghazul and Myrial, stay here. Get a campfire started. Crelak, you’re coming with me, we need to know something about our surroundings!”
Ghazul and Myrial started gathering some wood for the campfire, while Crelak and I went off. We Rangers have always been excellent at staying hidden in the shadows and tracking other creatures. We moved around the area, and did not see anything special except an abandoned watch tower. It had clearly been the victim of some serious warfare, because the walls were cracked and torn. We moved onwards to the entrance of the tower, seeing bones lay on the ground with broken weapons and cannon balls. The door was broken, it looked like someone had opened it with force. We quietly moved inside and looked around. There was nothing left but some broken furniture and various metal parts that did not age like wooden materials. We went back to get Myrial and Ghazul, and brought them to the tower.

We now have taken refuge in this tower, waiting with hopes of our brethren finding us here. We carve our ancient runes in trees around the area, marking our existence. We know little about these lands yet, all we know is that we will take a careful approach in exploring the lands…

Requested RP items:
Old copper dyed clothing (not including leather)(bodysash, cloak, kilt/half apron & hat(cap for craftsmen - feathered hat for rangers))
Leather dyed hueid#2530? (would like to see, seeking a shadowy color) (different from class)(studded for rangers, normal leather for crafters/leaders)
