Please put in some training weaps, such as a training bow. You know, a bow that we can actually macro with? Maybe make a training mace too?
Im gm Alchemy and i cant make total mana potion.Can u make it?
the stuck feature has become more of a free teleport than something you would use if you are stuck..
i think this should be changed so that when you use it, you can choose where on the screen you want to get teleported. That would be enough to set you free if you are for instance, locked inside someones house. The way it is now,where you choose which town you wanna go to, is a joke to me...
Read alot of topics by now, and I have one main concern when reading them. It is the tone they tend to develop in into.
Right now the shard is in Beta. I say that again cause that is very important for peopel to understand, if we are to go ahead with this great project that IN:X is.
Beta, now rember that.
This means that the forum is mostely used to discus good or bad things about the shard, things that need to be changed for some, and things that other wanna keep as they are.
There are as many oppinions on things as we are players and staff members. Most are from IN and XUO, and then we have some newcommers.
But some how as i started out with, the tone of the debates are to say it gently ****ed.
The general idear of generalising is
IN'ers like to yell out carebear to evrything and all they do is RP
X'ers yell out noob and i can kick your ass any time
etc...
The above is a rough statment i know, but the main point is, if we are to disccus anything in a constructive way. Then lets us break down the ohh your a IN noob and your a x carebear. Let's keep the discussions in a civil way. If you can't argue for your oppinion simpely don't post. cause a fast post telling some one to **** of ain't helping anyone in fixing and tweaking this server..
Then let's save all the flame wars and drame, to when the server is as it should be, and we get the guild wars and house lootings going.
So let's finish this post of to announce us all as IN:X'ers not IN'ers, X'ers or newcommers.

When i played UO like 4-5 years ago on Xuo i remeber i could carry atleast 400 ores or so and about 2k ingots with no problem probably up to about 2,5k ingots.
I would really want to have that added here aswell since i think it sucks to just be able to carry like 130 or so ores or 300ish ingots.
Remember that the more u carry and the longer u wait the greater the risk of being pked and loosing it all.
Please discuss why im wrong or if im right
Ive been hunting for the past weekn almost every night now and i only have 68 fame and 98 karma. I hunt monsters that drop Huge amounts of fame and karma but yet it seems like only 1 fame and 1 karma, is this suppose to be like this?

This is a wonderful day, Lord British just announced that he is about to pick up his official fishing crew, the sailors have to gathers a lot of ressources and food before the winter arrives, this shall be a really tough job but I have trained my sailors really well, I am sure he will pick us! I cannot believe this! The gods are truly with us, Lord British decided that my crew will be the one gathering the ressources this year. By the end of the year, we will come back and live like true kings, the reward will really worth it...
My baggages are now ready.. I dont really need to bring a lot of stuff, the journey will be short, it should lasts a few weeks, the plan consists of heading close to yew and buy enough fur and food for the population.

Its been almost 2 days already, we are about 3 days away from Yew, I would love to do that kind of journey more often, such an easy work! My sailors are having fun.. most of them abuse of the ale kegs but it does not bother me at all, I expected it to be dangerous but it looks more like vacations to me! It is getting late.. I should go to bed.. Ah! Dreaming about my future fortune is wonderful..

I just woke up.. it seems like everyone fell asleep last night and now, nobody knows where we are! We can not even see where we are going because of the fog.. strange, isnt it? I have to go, Paul is screaming upstair, there is something wrong.
I can not believe this.. TWO of my sailors are dead! Their bodies are pierced by strange-looking arrows but there is no sign of ennemies anywhere! I dont know what is going on.. there must be intruders on the boat but it looks like there nobody on the boat except for us.....and two dead bodies.

The capitain, still hidden behind a barrel, was not alone in the room anymore.. he felt a presence, the creature was obviously looking for him, it was breaking his furnitures, looting his goods and spitting everywhere! The capitain tried to find a solution, he did not want to die this night, but before he could do anything, something that was looking like an human with a dark skin, half alive or half dead, holding a bow and ready to shoot an arrow in the middle of his front, was standing right in front of him.
Capitain : Please.. Dont kill me, I will do anything for you!
Creature : ... (Everytime the capitain would say a word, the creature would act even more threatening.)
Creature : *Spits*
After seeing inside the creatures mouth, the capitain figured that it would be useless to keep talking with the creature since it had no tongue.. after seeing how horrible the creature was, the captain did not want to die in any atrocious way, this is why he slit his troat with his own cutlass...
We havent decided the name / outfit of the creature yet, this is what we will roleplay, these creatures are dead pirates and usually roam in Buccaners Den & Ocllo, we already have our headquarter on an island.

Hey yo!
I'm Jakko, EX admin of xuo(sphere) and I have been playing on this shard for a little while now, and I must say I like it.
Nothing is perfect, but this shard comes pretty close, good staff, dedicated admins and a playerbase that would make most other admins jealous.
The playerbase is so big, because this shard is a merge between two completely different servers, IN and XUO.
IN used to be a more RPish and "challenging" server the way I see it, while XUO was focussed on PvPing, and trying to get all players to join in in the PvP as quick and as much as possible.
Lately I have been reading the forums, and it seems to me that some XUO players have suggestions and complaints having to do with the changes involved in the merge. Many IN players reply to these issues by saying we are not a carebear server, and things shouldn't be too easy.
Some of the subjects leading to this typical discussion:
pits runes at dungeon entrances
fizzling taking mana
monster loots
accessability to rare weapons (xtreme dragons)
PK bounties
skillgain speed
To me it seems a few things are mixed up in this discussion.
Of course any UO server, either PvP or RP or both, should not make it very easy on the players. This would lead to boredom and a decrease of value that players assign to items and skills in the game, essentially making the entire game less important. (if everything is instantly achieved, what's the point?)
On the other hand, a server shouldn't make it too hard for the player either, too hard being that gameplay becomes less fun due to certain mechanics that block or slow down the player to the point the player feels like logging off.
The shard should be offering challenges instead of annoyances.
For example pits runes at dungeon entrances...
Does the lack of these pits runes make hunting more challenging?
Is being stuck for some time untill one of your friends logs on to gate you out very challenging?
No, it is annoying, and it blocks your gameplay.
Challenging would be if it is hard to kill certain monsters, hard to stay alive or hard to obtain a certain item. Challenging would be if certain encounters require strategy, teamwork and quick responses.
Carebear servers are not challenging. They let you kill an entire dungeon with one EV, and every monster will drop insane amounts of gold.
This server however, is currently in several ways beyond challenging, making certain aspects more of an annoyance, than a challenge.
Again, there is nothing wrong with things being hard to get, hard to achieve, or hard to undertake, but there IS something wrong with having gameplay mechanics that block the player and stop the players gameplay completely for some time.
Why?
Because there is always a better, more elegent way to make gameplay more challenging, than to make a player get stuck.
This also why I am in favor of pits runes at instance entrances.
If you think this makes hunting too easy, you should try to realize why hunting is easy. You will probably come to the conclusion that hunting is easy for reasons that have nothing to do with being or not being stuck and lost when you die.
They have to do with PvE requiring no equipment, strategy or teamwork whatsoever, only EV reagents (something Taran and Maka were made aware of, and are thinking about)
So in future discussions about how hard/easy certain mechanics are and should be, let's keep in mind that something doesn't have to be annoying to be challenging.
Alright, sorry to keep posting but I'm asking questions here so I don't have to bug GMs.
I've gotten razor to work, and can open up INX through Razor however the art files aren't implemented when I use this method. When I login through ConnectUO all the art appears, when I login through Razor, it does not.
