  Recomend a good shard?

Hey guys, who can recomend a good shard with the following properties:
Generally as similar to IN-X as possible.
Good pvp system
Not REALLY hard skill gains, but not too easy
easy to learn
macroing - legal (not resources necessarily)
strong playerbase (200+)
Minimal greif players
active staff that enforce rules
minimal bugs


anything come to mind?

Listen, I want to know straight up whether or not SOMEONE WITH POWER cares about this server. I'm not talking about no basic GM's, Im talking about TARAN or any SEERS or DEVS. I dont want to waste my time here if there's no work to be done, I want to know if you guys see a future here and care about the server and the community.

Theres active players who want some changes and you guys are spitting in their faces and not giving ANY input what so ever about whats to be seen in the future. This post isn't made to complain, I just want to know if Taran or any devs are doing anything, and to TELL US WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND KEEP US INFORMED.

Is there any NEW devs being hired? I've seen a few offer from here that would give it a shot and have free time, and at this point you can use any help you can get...

So, the question is, WILL THERE BE NEW FACES IN THE STAFF TEAM AND NEW FEATURES, OR CAN YOU JUST TELL US TO QUIT SO YOU AREN'T WASTING OUR TIME.

On my travels I have noticed that there aren't ever many GM's online to help. I've seriously paged for one for two weeks every time I'm on. But there are always PVP tournaments going on which is a plus so Kudos to those whose host. Just wondering if there were any Counslers just to answer peoples pages and help ease the work load? Another thing is i think that if the ones with the RP items do not Stay in Character most of the time they should be revoked. I tried to RP but i've yet to see anyone that does so i gave up. So i think if you have an item it should be enforced. No disrespectful attitude intended just for thought. Thanks for your hard work.

Yeah I'm leaving.

I haven't logged on to the shard for bleh.. 2 month or so. only once or twice for trading.

I guess UO just isn't what I remembered it to be Smile, And also school is making me not want to play games heh. Scriptning PHP for 8-10 hours a day makes me want to spend my free time with my GF.

But it was nice to see a lot of old faces after the 3-4 years thats passed sine IN1, or however long it was ago. And also learning some new of cause Smile

Anyways have fun everyone. And well.. We might meet eachother again someday perhaps in another game.

(Yes I'm having a blast in Age of Conan :p)

I've read Maka's post and I agree with it. The work load isn't the problem, but the attitudes and negativity are.

I've had my share in promoting quite a bit by arguing with a few players. I let my ego get in the way, and I have a really short fuse and almost no patience with someone who may not get something right away, or present them self appropriately.

For that, well:

I'm sorry for adding to the poor state. I hope you'll find some reason to come back and help the place out. If you can't, that's understandable, but besides the negativity, there is a lot of positivity that goes on. There are a lot who care, a lot who want a long-lasting, productive shard. I'm sure everyone wants that, but, burn out and attitudes can easily sway someone.

For adding DEconstruction to the shard- I'm sorry. It was fun here, for the little time I did play, it was and I guess no one really properly, or openly showed some appreciation. Here is mine: Thank you for the hard work.

we need to get more people on forums somehow and increase communtication amongst the players, theres many benefits to this that im to lazy to name and that im sure you can all figureout, myabe put some signs at britt bank and broadcast a message hourly or daily or w/e reminding everyone to check out the forums or something

This post is strictly for the people that want to be seriouse and have something to say that they have to say. I want Maka to know how everyone feels about all of the hard work he put into this shard and how much it means to us that he's here to watch it grow as we will in the near future. As i'm sure you've all read his post,

I have.. i just saw it tonight and it makes me feel like an ass because i know that i was one of those complainers... we all in some way were and still are. Nothing is perfect and it will only become better with time and more effort.

This is what i have to say to Maka and Taran:

Ok.. When the shard started, I started with high hopes of playing on the greatest shard ever and.. it started off as i expected... I had a blast on it and i still do.. even when im in pits chillin and talking with people from other countries, teaching kids how to PK, owning trash talkers, winning tours.. all these things are great. This shard even got the Scarecrow to start hunting.. which doesn't happen :eek:. I started seeing the better things Ultima Online had to offer and it was because of you too. This shard is awsome, there's no doubt about that.. It is going places whether people complain or not.

I appreciate everything both of you have done and i am trying my best in game to help as much as i can because i realize how difficult it is, i had a close staff-member friend explain to me what i wasn't paying attention too and he was right. You guys are the reason this shard is here, everything in it was made by you guys and it is truely a great start. Think about it.. 140 players active this mourning.. 140 players was unreachable in Xuo2 and that shard lived for quite a long time until corruption overthrew it.

I'm basically saying Thank you. Thanks for all the hard work and I apologize for my negativity. I appreciate everything you guys did for the shard and i think it's a great project and should not be left unfinished. Maka, i understand how you feel and i would feel the same way, but i think i know you pretty well and i know you still have a place for XUO PVP in your heart just like I and every other PVPer does. I hope you will one day decide to return from retirement and continue this great project.

I'm just hoping that everyone on this shard is on my side when i say that i'm not being negative about anything anymore, i'm gonna be appreciative but, we need a start.. we need a sign of activity.. one of you too that will give us another shot.

I hope you take this into consideration... Please post what you guys feel.. tell them if you appreciate what they did... we always let out the bad sides of ourselves, i think nows the time to tell Maka and Taran what we think is good.
