Will try to use all spinning wheels it can reach and one loom. No need to set anything, just make sure loom\spinning wheel(s) are reachable.

Code:
sub cftocloth()
    DIM rs[7]
    rs[0]=  '0x1A9D'
    rs[1] = '0x1A9C'
    rs[2] = '0x1A9A'
    rs[3] = '0x0DF9'
    rs[4] = '0x0FA0'
    rs[5] = '0x105F'
    rs[6] = '0x1062'
    var loom,wheel,i,cf,z,cycles
    UO.Print('CF to Cloth running')
    UO.Set('finddistance','6')
    For z = 5 to 6
        UO.FindType(rs[z],-1,'ground')
        if UO.FindCount()>0 then
            loom=UO.GetSerial('finditem')
        endif
    next
    For i = 0 to 3
        repeat
            UO.IgnoreReset()
            wait(500)
            UO.FindType(rs[i],-1,'my')
            If UO.FindCount('finditem')>0 then
                repeat
                    UO.FindType('0x1015',-1,'ground')
                    wheel=UO.GetSerial('finditem')
                    UO.WaitTargetObject(wheel)
                    UO.UseType(rs[i])
                    wait(200)
                    UO.Ignore(wheel)
                    wait(200)
                Until NOT UO.FindCount('0x1015')>0 OR NOT UO.Count(rs[i])>0
            endif
        Until NOT UO.Count(rs[i])>0
    next
    repeat
        UO.FindType(rs[4],-1,'my')
        If UO.FindCount()>0 then
            UO.DeleteJournal()
            cycles=0
            uo.waittargetobject(loom)
            uo.useobject('finditem')
            repeat
                cycles = cycles + 1
                wait(10)
            until UO.InJournal('The bolt|You create') OR (cycles>500)
        endif
    until NOT UO.FindCount(rs[4])>0
    UO.Print('Script finished.')
endsub

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to create a town for new players like what was already suggested here on the forum?

How's the RP here? What's it like? What's being done to support it?

I've read through some threads and the rules on the main page, and it seems like RPers are harassed and nothing's done about it. Is this still the case, if it ever was?

Are there still plenty of RPers around doing stuff? How fun is the shard in that regard?

To give you an idea, we're caught in an impasse when it comes to UO servers. They're either too PK/PvP oriented where there's nothing more than 2-1-drops or the RP is so enforced that you can't sneeze without getting permission from a GM that it's in your character's personality to do so.

What about pirates/privateers and seafaring?

Feel free to hit me up. We like PvP, holding festivals and events, and looting people.

so the server is in a bit of a lull. It's to be expected considering UO is an old game and the habits of todays UO player are much different. I'll be honest...i'm a pretty fickle UO player these days. I came back for nostalgia and played for a month or two and then stopped. But i get the UO bug every now and then. It's like a kebab. You can't eat them all the time but sometimes nothing else will do.

here are just some suggestions that might or might not help turn the trend around and push the #'s up.

-remove guards from Britain and make Minoc the starting city and the only city with a portal to merc camp. The theory is activity feeds off activity and vice versa. With a smaller city players would come in contact with each other more. Having Britain unguarded would also encourage players to roam the streets looking for PvP encounters. If any of you old timers remember when IN1 had Britain unguarded it was a lot of fun and and an anarchic feel to it.

- pick two cities and have elections. Players that win the election would get the title King or Queen attached to their name. This adds a bit of RP. The ruler of each city would have the power to exile players from the city but this could not be abused.

- weekend skill gain boosts all summer. I'll be honest when i asked myself what i was going to do this summer playing UO wasn't high on the list. During the weekends this summer i fancy myself hanging out at the beach, doing lots of reading etc etc. I think most people who play UO now aren't hardcore. So i would suggest that skill gain be faster every weekend during the summer.

Maybe. Just maybe I'm looking for something, something that today does not exist. I'm 25 years old and for too long have longed for a game that can not be. I once heard a story of a man in a virtual world who held a bridge. This was not his bridge. It wasn't even anyone's to claim, but claim it he did. For hours he waited and his patients paid off. He stood an the end of the bridge and declared it his. "Who are you to bar me passage?" asked a patron of the game. "I am he who owns this bridge!" replied the holder. Affronted the patron tried to pass this bridge. You can guess the outcome. I know this player them continued to control this bridge for over a week. Never allowing anyone to pass.

This freedom is what I look for in games today! I thought I had found it in Wurm-Online. Yet my village mates abandoned our settlement 6 months ago. I had bought and paid for land that now seems useless. Ever impossible to defend with non-dedicated players. I had scoured the web after that long blog post 5 years ago to find a game I truly wished to play... UO shards 5 years ago did not have want! They all seems to recreate the existing game but for free. Wurm gave me and option. That ended and now I am looking to the future.

Here is what I ask. Your Video gave me the impression of a world changed by its player base. That has a community that loves there game but is accepting of outsiders.

What I would like to ask is... Can I join your ranks? Teach me about the game that has more history than most nations! Tell me about the beginning of the genre and show me how today it can still be a figure that we look too.

Show me what this shard has to offer!

Yours Graciously.

Carin Day.

Hello,
So, I've been one to not complain about this, and even defend gms about people complaining about it, but I haven't seen much happening in the last few weeks. Now, I know that D3 is out now, but I'm concerned as that should not affect a game like UO as UO is older and those loyal to it, will stay loyal. The reason I'm wondering is, when I started about a month ago, we had about 160 ppl on at a time, and now i'm seeing less then 40 almost all day long.... it's quite scary, coming from someone looking for a shard to relax on and enjoy it while able to log in. Most people playing uo, are those vet players who have played many servers before and are trying to find some place that is active and available when they are able to log in. Admit it.... most people that are really into gaming are just going to play the games that are popular and happening at the time, whether it's WOW or Diablo3. Either way, most people probably get where I'm coming from and are wondering what is happening. With rarely any updates on the main site, it makes you wonder if even the gms are playing. Without gm activity, it will show players that the server is not important. I'm not even a vet on this server, but I've seen this many times and starting to wonder if IN is the place for me to settle down when it comes to UO servers.

Either way, I hope i'm wrong as I like how this place is set up and I love how the skills / stats are laid out. It shows that at the start, the creators took time to give us what we want... I just hope that they are ready for the future.

Zur

So armor can be repaired if it is damaged? I was thinking of using a decent set to spar with.. I guess I would just need to find a smith to repair it if its too damaged after...

Also.. Why do people use EV scrolls for PVM? Do they cast a bunch of EV's on dragons or something? I guess I need to learn up on PVM here.

What is fizzle sparring?

Can sparring dummies die and respawn?

Thanks.

started a guild that will be for new players to help them get started. It's called the Academy. The guild will be housed in the same static in Trinsic as Vanguard. Players can join the Academy with no strings attached and leave whenever they like.

the only restriction is naming. Not to pick on anyone but a name like Bongwater wouldn't get in. You get the picture.

you can't survive in PvP here without a healthy supply of pots and scrolls. All members of the Academy will have access to both. I'm a GM alchy and we have a Scribe who can make FS scrolls. The way it would work is like this. Members of the Academy would simply provide the alchemist or scribe the materials(regents, scrolls) and then the orders would be filled no charge.

If you want to join PM me on forums or PM John Falstaff in game.
