I played UO back in the glory days (i think they were) of Novus Opiate and Alphanine. I really hope to have some of those days back as I regret quitting for all this time. I just learned of this shard tonight and will be waiting patiently for it to come up. I was wondering if anyone had any old screen shots from back in those days to see if I recognize anyone. I used to have CD's full of them but my wife threw them away not knowing what they were.

Ok guys, this is me! I haven't been at a computer now for about two months for a few reasons, I'll try to explain why.

I've just finished the most important test of my life, this is the last test for me before I can go to uni so that has been taking up a lot of time recently. Before that i had a move to denmark, and after that, to a new appartment in denmark. In the move to the new appartment my computer broke down, and when I tried to fix it, some more components broke down. My best guess is that it was damaged in the move but I won't be able to say for sure untill I get it back. Dissregarding the fact that my computer was broke (jannies wasn't), we still didn't have internet for the bigger part of the time.

Now I'm finally done with all my tests, and when I go home (to jannie in denmark), I might actually have my computer back. I'll be in sweden for a few more days which means I'll be able to answer questions.

I'm not sure of what has happend while I've been gone, but before all hell broke loose, I was planing on handing the project over to Taran. I wrote a goodbye/keep your heads up post but i never managed to post it. I'll speak with the people in charge now and see what they say about it.




PS: Feel free to ask anything and I'll try to answer as soon as I can.

I found a little thing that might help you guys. I think I know what it is about, but I'm not sure if this can even help you guys. This will hopefully help people come to your website, and therefor have people join the shard.

just wondering if u guy can set a opening date
for one maybe this is a good idea cause then u have a goal date and it will hopefly speed up the slow progress

if there is no date in sight then where the incentive the people createing the shard will take there time but put a opening date will speed up things

INX will be up when its up. We are not going to release something incomplete because we already know what happens when we go down that path. INX is a solid server and a lot of awesome work has been done, we are not going to let all that go to waste. Also, don't forget that we have a free kick ass server and connection that has basically been given to us.

Progress is certainly slow, and we would all like to see INX online. But Sotho is the only active DEV right now and the only person who has the expertise to finish up the final tasks before we go live. And trust me, he has more then enough talent to do what needs to be done.

I don't want to beat the same drum over and over, but just remember that UO is a old game and this whole project is just a fun hobby for most of us. Once the server is online, we should be all good. And like Taran said, even if we start off with a very small player base it will still be fun and it will grow in time. Imagine Nation didn't start off with 200 players, in fact I think we had like 20 or so.

A lot of people are not active in the forums and stuff because there isnt much going on at the moment.

I have been reading though the forums and see a lot of hostility, and there is really no reason for it. IN and XUO are gone, nothing can really change that. But we can still put INX online and have a little fun with this old crappy game.

And don't be so hard on Rackull, he has his place in this community just like the rest of us.

The loot tables still need to be looked into so this means checking all monster loots from a rat to the biggest, nastiest monster there is. It also means actually fighting the monster as you would ingame, in its environment where there are other monsters getting in your way and not using a GM command to [kill it.

I need 1-2 volunteers from XUO and 1-2 volunteers INR. It is absolutely necessary that you know the loots from your shard because we need to come to a middle ground. It seems to be of popular opinion that the loots were too low on INR and no matter what other XUOers say, the loot was too high on XUO.

Volunteers will be given access to the shard and will be removed if they do not help in testing monster loots. I expect this to take atleast 1-2 hours.

I do not know the date or time, but once I have the volunteers, we will try to find a good time for all of us.

  Questions About using Razor

I did a quick search but came up with nothing...

So... Are any features of razor or any other programs for that matter going to be illegal to use? I know on teh shard i play now, the AutoCure/AutoHeal feature have been banned from use. I know you cannot AFK macro Resource gathering here... but is that it? I'm just asking because, I don't know if you've seen the latest updates for Razor, but its becoming pretty insane. With a click of a hotkey, i can have your MR off, Bola'ed off your mount, and pretty much surrounded by 6 crates on the four tiles around you making you have to either pick them up or tele away, but wait you can't because im a dexxer or will spam harm...

Either way.... Is there going to be a limit?
