Hi, I used to play on a lot of UO shards... and normally, you can weight, while naked, like 4000 iron ingots...

I suggest you to higher the weight capacity so we can trade iron ingots faster than 200 by 200...

Even with little life the animal followed trying to kill me but not achieved ... The Ettin He died! ! ! I gain more fame I was little my mana I did one of mana potion! Mount on my horse and I goes.. seeking chusco .... Vi stairs .. And I was down there! ! ! He run i follow him mounted my horse! ! What Paralize -An ex Port! He Pound Woooom Crash! ! Fhiuuuu! ! ! He was devil is intentabacurar! ! But using my knowledge of magic Use The biggest spell ever seen (Flame Strike) Kal Vas Flam! ! Finally I goto exit even with blood on my sword and my hands ride for hours to reach the cave my head Dragon Saphire.

  Skill gain magery and healing

Alright got a bit tired of hearing all these different oppinions in different threads about how slow/fast it is to train these two important UO skills, all based on fealings and roumors.
So i decided to put it to a test and get it straight.

Task: hunt for gold to buy enough regs and bandages to cast magic arrow on my self and then bandage heal my char right afterwards.
The steps are listed below, and starts at 00:00 houer, with me standing in Brit fully equiped (my hunting can be done with the same effeciency by anyone that can cast blade spirits, recall and have a few runes)

I Started with the following skills
Magery 90,0
Healing 81,5

00:00 I started hunting for gold
00:40 6422gp have been earned
00:40 Started undressing, restocking and buying Soulphous Ash and bandages
00:47 The restocking is over and i started macroing
03:10 Finished training

Alright so what did i gain by this
Magery up by 1,2%
Healing up by 1,4%
And 767 blody bandages to be washed
After restocking what ressources was lost hunting, buying the bandages that was lost while training and buying 1000 soulphous ash i now have 104gp as a profit and a some nice magic weapons, armors and scrolls

So a rough calculation on the time to GM these skills
Lets asume you start with 50 in both skills and the gain rate is the same for 50 as it is for 99,9 as i have gotten (this will proberly get a max time, since i am way over halfway.
To simplyfie it more let's say i got 1,3% in each skill.
50% then have to be earned.

50/1,3 = 38,5 times i have to do this.
38,5x190 (190=3 houers and 10 min) = 7315 min = 122 houers = 5 days non stop and your GM magery and healing.
And then i will have a nice supply of scrolls, magic weapons and armors (which could be sold to bring down the time even more)
For me that do not sound to bad. I know some persons can't leave there PC on 24/7 and stuff like that, but that honestely ain't the fault of this shard.
Also do rember, this is done with magery in start 90 and healing start 80. So it should take less than 5 days nonstop.
Also the hunting can easily be done so you will also gain alot in your other combat skills. Making it even more beneficial for your char training.

Now you can disccus all you want about magery and healing being to slow. Bassed on roughly 5 days of nonstop training and ressource gathering.

First, Let me Introduce myself for the few of you who may not know me.

I Am Father Juan. I Run the church Behind the Britain Bank. The story of How I came to be and how i ended up here is Far to Long and tedious to tell. Most of you from IN are a part of that story any who.

In Any Case... I would like to announce That I will Be Hosting Cup-o-Dice Games and **** Fighting Tournaments once again. For those of you who are unaware of what goes on at these events, I will explain.

First, Cup-O-Dice.

If you wish to partake in a game of Cup-O-Dice, You can find me walking around in front of Britt Bank. Just come up and tap me on the shoulder and ask for a quick game. I am usually always in the mood for a friendly game. The minimum you can bet is 500gold, the maximum is 5k.

The Games you can play:

High Or Low:
Probably the most favored game, You can Choose High, Low, Or 7.

  • Low is 2-6
  • 7 is of course 7
  • High is 8-12

The Two Dice add up for your Number.

If you Guess Right on High or Low, you get x2 Your bet.
If you guess Right on 7, you get x3 your bet.

  • Father Juan Rolls the Dice
  • You Roll the Dice.
  • If you beat Father Juan, You get x2 your bet.
  • If you Tie, The money goes to the church.

Lucky Number:
  • Guess a Number 2-12.
  • Dice Add up.
  • Guess right and you can get x4 your bet.

  • If either Dice ends up being your Number x3 your bet.

Disclaimer: For those who have never played before. Making a Bet consists of Handing the Gold to Me, Announcing your Choice, and then, Rolling. . No Gold will be given out to Correct Choices that have not been paid for.

OK, Now. On to the **** Fighting Tournaments.

The First Tournament will be held at the Moonglow **** Fighting Arena, Thursday Night at 9PM.EST.

If you wish to Enter, Simply Go out and Tame a Chicken, Stable or Shrink it and your good to Go. Training it is your own choice.

At 9PM:EST, all those in attendance will be asked to register their Fighters.
(The Church Keeps All records of Fighters Wins and losses, You can Register as many fighters as you want, but you can only fight 1 in each tournament held.)

When it has been determined that all contestants have arrived, the fights will begin. All Fighters registered for the Night Will be randomly selected and put into a ladder type tournament.

Here's where the Fun Part Comes In:

Each Fight, The Owner of the fighters will be required to Wager 1k. This will be handed to the ref(Me) and given to the winner of the match. 1k is only the minimum however. If both Owners agree, the pot can be raised as high as they would like. Please be aware, if you do not have the money to wager, you will "Loose" the registered fight and it will count as a loss on your fighters stats. Also, The Church deducts %10 of the prize money to go to other Church Activities.
Example: 1k from each Owner = 2k.
Prize paid out to winner = 1800gp

Only After The Bets have been placed, and Father Juan Says "FIGHT!" do you unstable/unshrink your Fighter and Tell it to attack.

You can win the fight two Ways:
1. By Having your fighter defeat the other.
2. By The other Fighters owner "Throwing in the towl". This can be done by stabling the fighter, Casting Heal on it, or reshrinking.

[SIZE="4"]SPECTATORS CAN WAGER TOO!![/SIZE]

If you wish to simply come and watch, maby place a few bets on the fighters, this is how you can earn a few extra coins.

First, Announce or look for a wager being announced. (of course). Once you and the other person have agreed on the wager, find One of my "Helpers" (who will be pointed out before the tournament begins) and hand them Your share of your wager. Once My Helper has both participants wagers, he will hold on to them until the end of the fight, and pay out to the winner. Please Be aware that the church also deducts 10% of the wager from these bets as well. You are more then welcome to Bet amoungst yourselfs and not use my Helpers as "Money Holders", But you do so at your own risk.

SOMETIMES ( it will be announced that the beginning of the tournament) There will be PRIZES to be won by the Fighter who ends up the Winner of the Night. But again, if this is the case, it will be announced at the beginning of the tournament.

i just noticed that some players have a different font then others. Is this supposed to be like this or is something wrong with my UO?

[SIZE="7"]Chapter 1 Introduction[/SIZE]






I Galen (Crazy) have come to introduce myself to the swine that roams the land of Sosaria! My birthland is Trisnic my birth was lovely. Doves flew over my mother they say when I came from her womb. My mother was a natural talor. She made wedding dresses for a living. With what little she made along with my father, she helped support me while growing into a fine miner lad. My father, who was a blacksmith, laid the foundation for his small private business selling ores and ingots at reasonable prices. Fueling the military for any side who came to buy his goods, he also helped provide for us.

Their skills seem to have brushed on me aswell. I currently work in the Minoc mines as a self employed craftsman. I fuel the economy on all sides, just like my father did. I even lower prices for the poor sod who cannot afford to pay for his hunts to feed his own family. I have been dedicated to this task for quite sometime. I started mining at the age of 6, now at the age 20, I am full of prime and keen on my senses.

At the age of 12 I began combat training to fend off thieves who dare take my financial stability. I have been hurt many of times, but my motivation will not falter. Most I have cut deals with for my safety. I never gave away free goods, but only cheaper prices. My life is more important to me as I would someday wed with a beautiful woman in these lands. A sword is my life, and my hammer is my heart. My father once told me "A man makes a living from his shoulders down. A man makes money from his shoulders up." I have never forgotten these words, and they will stay with me forever.

Someday I will own my own tower, and fuel a guild for newcomers so they too may plunder this lands riches. For now though, I will keep focused on promoting my business as a miner and a crafter. Searching endlessly for all business clients.

  Roleplay city

Would it be possible to create a roleplay city? I've walked around on the shard and checked out a few things and I've already started to cringe. I always sigh when I see a person with a name like "kewl dood".

The one thing I miss about the old IN is the roleplaying. I liked how you had to write a story to join the shard and how in-game names were monitored.

I doubt this would ever happen but it would be neato if a small city were created on an artificial island or a moderately large island with a lot of clear space. I noticed in the casino that there is a VIP area and this is what I had in mind for the RP city. Players would have to be approved before they could enter the city or perhaps become a citizen of the city.

I'm just afraid that there will be a lack of good solid RP on IN:X. I miss dedicated roleplayers. This is probably the only aspect of the game that I truly enjoy anymore.

I guess this is just a pipe dream...

* Finishes consuming a corpse * .... Today I have killed two lesser beings. Dora and Galileo. Dora intended to kill my brother, War, while he was mining in search for ores. What a death I gave him, I called upon him the essence of thunder, which struck on him over and over, till he died. Oh yes... He tried to run.. But for how long can you run from me... Death.

Another story with with Galileo, oh what a fun time he and I had... He came to my lair, calling me names and accusing me of something that I would never do... "You stole my ores as I mined" he accused. What an untrue statement. He would not let me in peace to meditate my power. I had no time for such none sense. I gave him a swift death. Of course though... he was not finished... The Gods for some reason resurrected this pitiful creature... He came back to accuse more and threaten me.

Later on, his threat became true... he had called on four of his friends... I do not know the names of these men... But they will surely die. I had used to much of my energy for one day, and I had to rest. So I decided to retreat from these mortals.

After this, I came together with my three brothers. We went to dungeons and tore the flesh off all creatures we found. We destroyed their lair and left it in ruins. Our power is growing stronger... I can feel it.

Hours after this, I came across the God Odium again... We had a great discussion of philosophy. The theme became that of knowledge and strength. What a wonderful debate this was, I can't remember in coming to an agreement before he had to attend to his issues.

That has been the end of my journey for power of today.
