If you are a Vista user, a very easy solution to most of your problems, is running everything with admin permission.

Using the windows user access control feature is nearly a 90% must in older programs, or non Vista compatible types. Sometimes switching compatability mode to Windows XP SP 2 is not the correct solution, or not even a solution at all.

I have found several programs that will NOT work for Vista, unless you

Right click execution icon, usually referred to as blah.exe or if not labled, it is the command that you double click to run any program on the desktop, same for programs listing in the start menu. After you right click, you have two ways of accomplishing this task, they are:

Right click and go to Run As Administrator

Or

Right click, go to properties, go to compatibility tab. Next, look near the bottom, and you will see a check box for run as administrator always, or something similar. Check that box, and usually this will fix the problem.

Vista is funky, and its funky getting around certain programs. My first week using Vista, I nearly took Thor (My sledge hammer, yes, it has a name) and smashed my brand new 1000 $ computer.

although the skill gain is slow but i took my time and macroed, now i'm almost rdy for pvp.....but the population has dropped drastically im afraid that when im rdy to get some action there will be nooone left for me to kill....Cry

Hey, this is towards maka, i'm just curious to know if he even reads over the forums since i havent spoken/seen him in a long while. I'm also curious to know how everythings going and when you plan to make a return here. I believe I speak from behalf of the server when im saying that we're all waiting on your return. you were a key element, along with taran and the rest of the staff team, when making this shard, especially when it came to scripting.

Without you, as it stands, the server is dying. I don't know what you're going IRL, not that its any of my business, but id like to know what happened to that pc of yours and when you plan to come back and put this server back on its feet. I understand you put countless hours in putting this server up and people wanted it up, as the online population reflected this during the first month of INX. We need new scripts, and players have tons of ideas that were suggested and some, or alot, should be considered and implemented.

I hope you come back really soon, because it would be a shame to see this server die after you and taran and the other staff put a lot of work into it, especially you when it came into the scripting.

So if you read this just update us on whats going on because the player base is dropping everyday, and well for most of the population here, INX is the last server before they quit UO, and no one wants to have their last memories on UO on a shard that died and they spent countless hours training on,the same goes with the staff which helped run this server.

PS: When you get back too, just msn me, I got some ideas I rounded up which can really help here... I have a good idea of what people want, ive read many posts and believe i can help out when it comes to giving ideas, and so can many others.

Hello ev1, this afternoon i was playing as i always do. I went to eat something and when i came back, the client was closed(wich is rare, it usually says connection lost). When i try to open it, it closes.

Anyone can help me??

Armor will now affect the amount of damage taken when hit by the spells Explosion and Energy Bolt. Being naked, in other words having 0 armour will mean that you will suffer a great deal if hit by those two spells. There is of course a limit as to how much armor can decrease the damage taken ie after a certain level of armor , damage absorbed will remain the same. This goes for both the spell and the scroll.

This is the way it was on sphere: Energy Bolt and Explosion always did more damage to those that were naked or less than adequately armoured.

In addition to that,

Energy Bolt scrolls will now drain 15 hitpoints of your life on double click.

edit: It will be implemented on next restart.
