I think now that we have a larger player base it might be worth while to remove the reagant, arrow, and bolt stones. I think it could really do alot of good, their would be a market for arrow/bolt vendors and with the reagant stone gone and people buying the regs off NPC's it could really increase value on items seeing as it takes more work to get the required materials.
Ok! I know you may be thinking this should be placed in player-guides, I disagree, everything in there is PVE related.
My question is to all you pro pvpers out there. What are your macro keys? We can all agree that pvp is all about timing, and therefore it is absolutely crucial that your macros are set in order to minimize the delay time.
I find that my macro keys are very spread out and thus it takes a greater reach to press a certain key and to trigger the macro. ie.. my fs macro is f9, my gh spell is f4, my xuo is insert....
I would appreciate it if top pvers, would specifically spell out their keys, and show what macros are on what key, and the reason they chose those keys. Obviously keys are set in order to caiter to the individual, however I am curious to see if the most talented pvpers share general patterns when choosing their keys.
If you are using macros that do not only pertain to the keyboard please specify the device you are using,( some ppl use keys on their mouse).
Again as an outline
1. What are the macros, and what keys did you place them on... and why?? What is the reasoning?
2. Do you use injection or razor?
3. Mention every single key that you use in pvp. Leaving one out will only undermine the purpose of this thread, which is absolute accuracy and precision.
-Here are a list of macros that I use, not associated to any keys because I know my keys do not maximize speed. The ones that are in red, are keys that I consider to be most important, so dont leave those out!
-Harm
-Protection
-Harm (self)
Mage Reflection Scroll
-Greater Heal Spell
-Greater Heal Scroll
-Heal (spell)
-NOS Fs
-XUO fs
-Bandage
-Greater Heal Potion
-Mana Potion
-Attack Last ??( I have mine integrated with a UO spam macro, that spams .wop Kal Vas Flam 3 times then does an attack last) Is it better to have them separated and why or why not?
-Spam Macro
-Lighting Scroll
-Target (with weapon)
-Paralyze
-Recall
-Stealth
-Detect Hidden
Also if you have macros that do the pre-healing with XUO plz state those as well! If I am forgetting essential pvp macros plz tell me as well!
Recently we have added a new mount called the young nightmare. It is much like a normal nightmare in many ways, including its various looks and how strong it can be trained up to, though it does start off weaker than a standard nightmare. This new mount can be tamed and is in the world now but will require a bit of skill to tame.
Step 1: To find the entrance to where the young nightmare can be found you must search near a small waterfall. The entrance is invisible so search carefully but it isn't impossible as the entrance is within mere steps from the waterfall itself.
Step 2: Once you enter the dungeon where the nightmare is to be found, you will have to solve a little puzzle to gain access to the final room. It isn't extremely difficult so long as you pay attention to the surroundings and manage to keep the monsters off you.
Step 3: If you solve the simple puzzle you will come into the second to last room. This room will lead you to an exit or the way into the nightmare spawn so check for a hidden path and avoid the obvious one, if you plan to keep going.
Step 4: Once you make it into the final room you will find that you have aggravated the creatures that dwell there. One after another they will come at you and you must defeat them all before the tameable nightmare shows up. This is probably the most difficult part and may take 2 or more people to win. The more the merrier, or at least easier in this case. As you defeat more of the creatures you will notice that the difficulty progresses. Just to give you a little guidance here, you will be fighting for awhile until you face the tamer and the young nightmares parents.
Step 5: Once all other monsters are defeated the young nightmare will emerge. Just when you think all this mess is over, there is still more! You will have to figure out the trick to tame him because the mount will clearly not want a master that just killed his parents. Persuade it otherwise anyway you can and make it your pet.
A few things to note about the mount:
It cannot be shrunk.
It will not attack players.
It can be trained to be very strong.
It will only spawn once a week.
You will only know if its there if you trigger the monster spawns in the final room. If monsters appear, it will show up and if nothing spawns neither will the young nightmare. If creatures are already there, you will also be able to get it.
I would like to purchase this static its coords are, 2272 926 35. I have counted the tile's and I believe it to be around 468000 gold any how Im sure you will let me know if that is right. Either way please inform me what it will be. Thank You.
I haven't done much reading up on this, but I thought it was a new server. I logged in with my old account information and I already had a character made (with no skills). Kind of odd. Can anyone explain it to me? Are they doing like xfers from old servers?
I just installed uo and it wont update by itself when i open uo.exe, anyone know why?

anything else i have 2 do?
Around 7:47pm EST
I was in the dueling arena dueling xiyak while this crashed.
I hope we're just teled out of there when its back up....
Congrats to you all!
When we opened for beta the first day on INX we had around 80 players, after 2 days we had like 160, after a week we maxed out at 380 or so!
So why am I saying this? Cause at the opening day today we had around 80 active players online, we have a monster server and a good connection.
Disregarding even those major factors, we also have more than 2 years worth of work put into it, work that was not there when the shard first launched. Work that has made the server a lot more playable and content rich.
I just want to thank all, both players and staff, that made this true Hopefully we will see an active client count of 150+ players within a week:p
Now lets make sure we call all our friends and that we use all means of advertisement. Email all your old buddies on your IM list, tell them about the server and how much work has been put into it (even if they might not remember you). Put it in your name on MSN/AIM/WHATNOT and make sure people ask about it, get them curious and they will come with a high client count following! Post the link in your signature on other forums and do what ever you can to get the client count up (but do not advertise where it doesn't belong).
Good luck everyone, enjoy the hard work and time put into this server and I hope to see you in a few days (not as a staff):p
This guide is to help you connect to IN:X using a popular third party program called Razor. This program is 100% allowed on IN:X so you can't get in trouble for using it!
Step 1: Downloading & Installing Razor
Before you can install Razor you need to first install as a minimum, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, which you can download directly from Microsoft. Here is a link to it for a 32-bit Operating System, and here is a link to it for a 64-bit Operating System. If you aren't sure which you have but know you have Windows XP, right-click on My Computer and select Properties. You should then see 32-bit or 64-bit written here. In Windows Vista, or Windows 7, right click on Computer and select Properties. Under the System section look at what's written for System type.
Download and install Microsoft .NET framework and restart your computer if you're asked to. Once that's done, go here to download the latest version of Razor. Now install Razor and restart your computer if you're asked to.
Step 2: Setting up Razor
When the install completes you should have a new icon on your desktop. Double click it to start Razor. You should see this welcome screen:
Fill in the Server and Port information as I have here. Then click the Browse... button in the top-right corner of the window and go to where you installed UO. Select your client and then press Open. Next, press the Make These Settings Default button. Now press the Okay button and after a short load you should see the UO window;
Enter your username and password to login. If you don't already have an account on IN:X, enter a username and password (something not too easy to guess) and if you set up everything correctly, you should then see this screen:
Click on IN-X and then you should see a list of characters (if you already have an account), otherwise click the New button to make a new character. Give him/her a nice hairstyle and name and click the right arrow button. You can't choose Gargoyle or Elf since these options aren't enabled on IN:X. At the next screen choose any class, it doesn't matter since you get to choose some starting skills ingame. Once you've chosen your character or made a new one, you should see pits and be ready to go!
Step 3: Configuring all the options in Razor
Razor has LOADS of options that make it a very powerful tool to use when playing UO.
General:
On the lefthand side of this window you have a checklist of items you can have Razor filter out for you. If you check something like Weather you won't see rain and snow as you explore the world of IN:X. I suggest you DON'T check the Rewards Gump and Staff Only Items options.
You also have some options on the right-hand side. I like to enable Use Smart Always on Top so whenever I click on UO this Razor window automatically comes up next to it ontop of any other windows I have open. Disabling the Show Welcome Screen (affects all users) option won't show window of an above screenshot where you entered the server and port information.
Options:
The most important setting I suggest you disable is Queue LastTarget and TargetSelf. Some other options you may want to enable are Open new corpses within __ tiles and filter repeating system messages.
More Options:
The only option you really should change is to enable the Auto-Queue Object Delay actions (comes in very handy when you start working with agents). You should then increase the Object delay to 700ms. If you work with Agents and find they often get stuck, increase it some more. You're free to experiment with the rest of the options on this page, you can see what I like playing with.
Display/Counters:
This allows you to see how much of certain items (like reagents, bandaids, etc) you have in your backpack in the titlebar. It's a great tool because this way you don't have to search through your pack to see how much you have before you go hunting. In the part called Title Bar Display you can change what's written here to change what you see at the top of UO.
Copy this text to see the same as what I have;
Quote:{char}- {mediumstatbar} {bp} {bm} {gl} {gs} {mr} {ns} {ss} {sa} {aids}
NOTE: If you have this all setup the same as in my screenshot of the Display/Counters tab but don't see the counters, this might be because you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 with the Aero display scheme. To disable this, right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. Select a different theme here. If you like the Aero scheme but desperately want the counters, try Windows 7 Basic (on Vista you might have Windows Vista Basic, I don't remember). This option is pretty close to Aero and you'll see the counters. You can also choose Windows Classic. It looks like Windows ME and earlier versions and also has the counters.
