well, for me, smoke, from now this event will be only about making it harder for you to get a loot. since we have autoloot ._. and with mass dispel you are going to work harder to get a reward.

I support Thenu with his suggestion, you shouldn't be able to attack other players and you should be able to recall out from inside. I'm just thinking about the noobs that want to join the event and try to do their best to help and got killed while the boss is getting looted. Prototype aren't the problem there, they are just playing with the rules that have been set. The real problems are the settings of these events.

I never intended to blame Prototype for this, I merely used them in the example to paint a picture of yesterday's event.

Just to clarify we were 3 prototypes and bensa as well killed you guys because you weren't doing anything on the big boss but wanting to loot it.

That is bull, aside from the fact that i cleared the complete east wing, i casted as many EV's as my scrolls and mana's allowed. We do not have greater manas but normal manas so it takes a bit longer than you. You are just making this up to justify running us out but dont worry, you dont need to as it was completely legal. With this post I am merely trying to get other's opinion on this unfair matter, so no need to get offended and defensive.

I don't think PvP at PvM events is a HUGE deal because you cannot loot other players. That said, there are plenty of PvP events on the shard and if PvP was completely removed from PvM events I wouldn't care at all. A lot of players hate PvP and PvM events are pretty much the only event they are interested in joining so why ruin it for them?

Yesterday I was in this PvM event in Wrong with my mate Benga, and noticed a few flaws in the system.

We did our part in wiping our the monsters in Wrong, but when the big boss was about to drop we got attacked by 5 - 7 prototypes and got walled out of the main room so that they would have the loot for themselves. The flaw I'm talking about here is that a PvM event should be the sole environment on a shard that allows blues/ reds/ newbs/ pros to hunt together and have a fair chance to gain some good loot (not mentioning the autoloot used on these events by some players).

If it is not a PvM then please do not give pplayers the impression it is so, name it a FFA with monsters or something. Right now you could compare this event with a 1v1 tourney where the top 8 get to fight in 1 arena for the top rank prizes (gank gank gank till only your guild is left and take all the prizes).

Just curious as to how other players think about this.

(Also: not being able to leave because the event gates are walled and a gank squad is waiting to take your loot is kind of annoying, since it is the only way out as you cannot recall inside. But ill leave that for a seperate thread)

This is what I think:

PvM = Players vs Monsters (not players vs players vs monsters)

So I support all the things that Thenu and Lags have said above, and I hope it will be changed so that you can't attack players in the PvM events, because that can ruin the PvM event a lot for hunters who do not like to PvP (or know how to defend themselves), and I don't want that.

Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion, in the end it's Tarans call what to do, but at least you know my opinion on the matter now

And if players do really like the PvPvM events (which is what I will call these events from now on) then there is nothing stopping us from having both types, just like Ayleth Payne said.

why not reload with scrolls and manas so u could help out with the Boss? nah i just stand and watch and hope those guys kill it for me so i get master loot :=) doesnt work that way .

autoloot especially for treasure scrolls is illegal, although i just did a quest with you and it didn't seem like you had it so maybe it was a joke? xd

thenu it's the first time yesterday me and bensa were partied in the whole time on this shard, it's not like we conspired against you or are making lies its what actually happened when the last boss came you did nothing so we felt like you shouldn't get to loot that boss. You didn't even die you ran and i walled it

We are in the process of ramping up some new staff members whose primary job will be to create and run quests and events.

And i am already on it. Don´t know when it will be ready but i am working on a crafting/PvM/PvP event that evryone with just a littel skill can be in and do there role. It can also be set up so that no PvP at all will happen. It´s a work in progress.

3. I said we do not have the resources you have, we are newer players and do not have the luxery of greater manas, i spend a load of manas and energy vortex scrolls but with meditation being so slow it is difficult to keep casting without greater manas.

Let me make it more clear to you: a normal mana gives you mana for 1 energy vortex whereas a greater mana gives you enough for 3 if you med a bit. Therefore it seems that you guys do more, even though we are doing all we can with the means that we have.

You saw us cast energy vortex' just not as often as you <-- Can you deny that?

I saw you cast 1-2 evs on the end boss from full health to 0 benga as well 1-2 vs 10 is a big difference even if you used a manapot a regular one once you could've casted 3-5 with 5 scrolls and all you had to do was ask for some scrolls i had some on me if you didn't have any..
