^^ Agreed Loki. I think your first idea is a good one.
About the PvP school; a while ago when the player base was much lower and it was hard to find fights, I made a post starting a duel school or society. Some people showed interest but it wasn't really enough, maybe now is the time?
The whole idea is to get everyone together who has interest in PvP or learning to PvP and allow them to practice together and trade ideas without having to spend lots of resources. It's a good opportunity for anyone, really. I think it would have to be an event scenario which runs a certain length of time and doesn't give any reward, possibly once a week or something. This is much harder to execute than to dream about of course.

I'm against the idea of having a 0 cost fight-experience in the open world where players can go and just fight for fun without some form of resource loss whenever they want. If it is somehow governed so that you can only use it a few times per character or something then sure. Otherwise I think it would be better for players to just learn from experience in the real world with the aid of automated events and possibly a duel society or something.

I'm trying to think of a way to automate the PVP school somehow. I think I could do it with just spawners, but it would be a bit of a pain.
I'm thinking an entry to it that spawns when a GM turns it on, then two different pads, one for teachers, one for students. Then, a way to automatically assign a teacher to a student, then move a new student or teacher in when one of them dies.
I've already set up an automated PVP school of sorts, but it is kindof a pain to use and can easily be trolled. I can use the concepts from that spawner though.

There is no better teacher than a duel and no better school than an arena.
When I first came here people tried to teach me how to PvP, but it made no sense until I did it a few times.
I don't see the harm in adding the arena I was thinking of and just limiting it to 5 uses a day. That would solve any problem with people just spending all their time dueling with free stuff, while giving new players a chance to practice the PvP a little.

Every one complains about prices when "we" the players control them. Right now prices are out the roof but its because ppl are greedy. If a "Good" crafter or guild of crafters walked in they could undercut the prices so bad and make it where you dont have to pay out the ass and they would still earn alot of gold just because they would keep on selling out. And I agree with habi another cheep duel arena will just be another hang out spot for pvpers. They will go just to prove they are the best. We should just keep things the way they are unless we have some kind of automated system. But then you will probly have trolls show up and ruin every thing.

It wouldn't be used all day by the same people or trolled if you were only able to use it five times a day.

Its all just risk free pvp. If you want to learn or train go to the casino or brit bridge. You might die or and looted but you can restock pretty fast. Like the comments earlyer about players having full time jobs and not having the time to play but want to pvp. Well thats just part of this game and it takes time. I have a full time job and still have the chance to play 3 hours or so a night and still make a nice chunk of gold being lazy. If we keep giving hand outs like 10 gold coin risk free pvp, we might as well throw in skill gates because ppl dont have the time and gold to train it them self.

And you think having 5, yes FIVE duels a day that are risk free will somehow effect the shard in a negative way?

Tell me, why should anyone get 5 free autosupplied duels a day?
Everyone here learned how to play here with their own supplies... It isn't difficult let alone unfeasible.

What would be even cooler is if someone decided to do a "Lets Play" video of the PVP here where you explain what you're doing as you do it. Something like League of Legends does for their champions:

I could make one for IN PvP, but you really need to just do it to learn instead of being told or watching it that's why I thought the 5 supplied duel a day arena would help a lot.
