lol thats what i used first but just to be sure I used 3 others and all came back the same way

At least it's better than babelfish. That thing had terrible translations. The problem with translating Japanese with google though is that the verb tenses confuse the bajeezus out of it.

shinnen = new year
akemashite = te form of open
omedetou gozaimasu = 'congratulations'
kotoshi = this year
mo = subject marker like 'ha' but implies 'also'
yoroshiku = kindly / well
on‌egai = request / wish
shimasu = form of 'to do'
