then players lose place in the world to place houses, also there are some houses already placed within 3 tiles

You cant place house just 1 tile away.

Or can?

why dont u just lock stuff on the steps of ur house??? if u want one tile for a deco u can use ur steps on the house, thats what i do
#18

Seriously Luda, Gordon just wants deco and art

he isnt thinking about tactics to create a safe spot or abuse in PVP/PVE

just make a rule that people can page if they feel 1 tile deco of a house might be abusive and gm look....

.....I mean seriously a player that wants to do something fun
and maybe something that people can interact with and you
want to say no to it ?

I support this whole heartedly....and if any infraction/abuse is found I will
hope the sucker is banned

Houses cannot be placed within 2 tiles of eachother, at least they shouldnt be.

And as far as the one tile around the house goes... well, I have checked the scripts and it's actually very complicated to change and even out of my league I'm afraid. So for now it will have to stay this way until a more experienced developer can fix it Sad

Well atleast you checked Taran.. Smile It could be awesome if it was fixed, i'm also into all that deco with my house hehe.. (when i get one that is Tongue )

Crossed fingers, and we all hope Big Grin

The point is, you can't place a table on the steps, and some chairs to sit on. He want's a table outside to place a small book so people can say hi etc.

I think Shade had the best suggestion so far: Custom house with walls set one tile inside the foundation's edge.

No exploits, no scripting to change, no excessive expense compared to placing a normal house (they're not *that* expensive).

Not trying to be a killjoy, just looking for the simplest and least exploitable fix.

-edit-
Oh, and I wasn't implying that Gordon was trying to exploit anything with his one tile square, but if you introduce an exploitable change that affects everyone, they won't all be as honest (or even know that they're not supposed to fence.)

Just a quick question, how do you make a custom house?
