The bottom line is, there's people with too much money, but not only money items, armors, etc...

think about this in the long run a little, for once.... the server's items will not mean much because there's an excess amount of items out there...

take ingots for example, I know theres people out there with over 50-150K ingots of a single type. thats like saying if 100 ingots makes 1 set and you have example 75k havoc ingots, that means you can make 750 Havoc sets! lmao. Where's the value to that armor if ONE guy has that many...

on a side note- man im pretty sure Rabbi has enough gold to bang any one the CNS, GM'S, ANDDD even any Admins sisters, for ingame gold... and thats no lie, you should see his Bank "RICHEST NIGA ON SESAME STREET" lmao... yes thats dave chapelle

annyyywayyss, It's just an example of one of the many things that this server has thats just a RIDICULOUS amount of...

i mean i dont wanna say remove their stuff, cause ofcourse they worked hard for it and took many hours. but something needs to be done, like introduce new armors and make old armors worth less? same with a few other things to balance things out? maybe wipe like 30% of everything people have equally... like money/scrolls/ingots/etc...

All i know is for the future of this shard, because MANY of servers died due to this, there should be a balance in items, money.... the ECONOMY basically...

because if the economy is f'ed, then the items and gold dont mean anything, that means a loss of interest for things, which means the servers in trouble, which will most likely result in a dead server...

This "shit" is open because he has a right to state his opinion so long as it is done in an appropriate fashion.

Back on topic. Any sort of wipe would be good for the economy however aggravating a majority of the players isn't something we want to do. The best strategy at this point is to counteract the mass of gold with some large gold-sinks. Adding things only obtainable for a large fee, new dungeons that have an access fee (one exists but is very cheap), adding more optional items/addons for ones house, etc.

Basically while it is true that the economy would be better off, the risk of losing players who can't see that isn't worth it.

With the shard once again moving in the right direction, the last thing we need is attitude problems and attention issues consuming the forums. Debating is fine but useless remarks that have no value are not.

Following the announcement of a gold wipe:

• Players will start buying things they'll be able to use on the new server.
  • Millions of reg bags
    
  • Scrolls, bottles, etc from vendors.
    
  • Deeds
    
  • Resources from vendors
    
• Players will buy things that can be returned to cash when the server launches. (houses)
  
• Players will get angry.
  
• Non-english speakers might not hear about the wipe and quit because they didn't prepare.
  

The end result is that everyone gets angry, some may quit, only 90% of the gold gets wiped of the people who have the most and prepared for it, and we get a huge spike in items in the world which slows down world saves and adds lag.

I was just basically asking the players what they thought. I think it would be more meaningful if all the old players wanted to maybe start the new shard on a slightly lower level to have more appeal to new people. That's all. I got rid of my old character, I didn't delete 5 million gold+ or anything. I did however just keep a 1 room house and about 50k gold with equipment and ingots I had(5k iron?). I just had a thought that it would be a great way to start coming out of beta. I am in no way trying to convince the staff or anyone for that matter to "sneak" one by all the rich people. I even said in my first post it was a "crazy idea".

Eru, I hope you never thought I meant the staff to just steamroll with this idea of mine and piss people off. My goal was try to get the players to decide it on their own. That looks like it won't happen. Unless its just Luda, Rabbi, and Smoke that don't like it. Who cares about them

You're Idea is good Episte. And it is surely what is needed in order for this server to be successfull in the long run. but, like in life, there's always people who dont want to see things thoughtfully and in the best interest of the server their playing. it's sad but cant do much...

the staff wouldn't do wipe the items of there dedicated players who stayed here when no one else didn't
