Are you following? The staff can't take your stupid pictures as proofs, because they are easy as hell to fake, it's screenshots, screenshots will never be good as proof... Just try to keep that in mind and spare us from seeing your stupid pictures on the forums in the future...

Like I said in that MSN convo, I'm having issues with my ISP/PC/UO. All this adds up to me leaving my PC on, going to work/bed and when I check up on UO I see my PC tried booting into Windows 7 or I have the connection lost message in UO. I can't leave my PC on over night or while I'm at work so you guys should count yourselves lucky you only lost 2 hours and not 6-8 hours of macroing like I do when my PC screws up.

Why you won't get skills back no matter what:

1) SS CAN be faked very easily as lederoil proved (nice try too paulie lol). I'm not saying you did, but they can be.
2) When INX first went up staff explained SS doesn't count for proof that you had certain skills because of reason 1. I don't see why this would change now or any day.

This makes SS worthless and doesn't make you a genious for thinking to take it (sorry, your day will come )

3) Shard crashed, you got a WARNING ingame about it, and kept going. Whose fault is that?
4) The server has crashed before without a world save for a long time and other people didn't get anything returned.
5) How much effort did you really put into this? Open UO, log in, choose your char, start a macro in Razor and walk away from the PC. Come on now, it's not like you hunted or chopped logs for 2 hours straight which takes more effort if you don't have uber macros.
6) We are talking about 2 hours!! You can do that and more while you go to sleep so it's not a huge loss considering you can macro 24 hours straight no problems.
7) What are you guys saying 'now we can't play on the weekend'? You mean to tell me there's nothing at all you can do since you don't have provocation GMed? You mean to tell me you can't do what you've been doing all this time before you started training provocation?
8) In your alleged 5-6 days you gained as much in provocation as I've been able to in the last 3-4 weeks!!! You're loss isn't so bad.
9) My post smoke is referring to is here and was posted at 21:43. This doesn't mean the server crashed at 21:43, it could have crashed 3 minutes earlier or 3 hours earlier yet you kept going. Your first screen shot showing 95.1 is at 10:53! At least an hour after you got the server warning crash (based on my post, which again could have come 3 minutes or 3 hours after the actual crash). Of course if you're AFK you won't see it, but you sure didn't work hard in that time if you were AFK.
10) It was UNFAIR macro time where nobody else could macro even if they wanted to. It's not like Tiesto's example of a tunnel you went through when you shouldn't have because everyone else can do it if they want. But we couldn't macro even if we wanted to because the server messed up. Like I said before, it's as if I would have been allowed to train my skills during the staff only beta. Not fair for everyone else because they weren't allowed to be on.
11) When my internet screws up should I go ask my ISP for a discount on my bill because I couldn't connect for 2 hours? Wish me luck because that's not happening!

On a happier topic; hockey was great and my knee felt great even though it bugged me all day! We lost 4-1 but it's just a practice and there was no ref so the other team kept counting their goals after going offside :/

Also we have another difficulty and that is you got an 'advantage' cause you could macro when others where not able to. My reply will most likely be "im sorry technique, but we can not give you your skills back. And since we state that we are still in Beta these are sadly some of the consequenses. Im sure we would have discussed to raise your skills if we would have been out of beta state. But you should know that i do believe you (could be because you also keept me updated over messanger) But i do not think it would be fair and how annoying/stupid it might sound in your eyes could raising your skills harm both you and the shard. As plenty of people would call an action like this for corruption, (heck even i would do it if i did dislike you or if i also would have been macroing but did not get my skills set back). The best way to solve this would be to give ALL players who where online their skills/items back, but we cant only compensate you as then others need their stuff back aswell.
It would take simply way to much time than i am willing or able to put down in order to confirm yours and everyone elses requests.

Im sorry about your current situation, but we can not alter the skillgain because you have a bad ISP.
Also regarding complaints to your ISP, if you pay for a 24/7 service you have the right to complain or get a discount on the bill if you do not get the service you are paying for. I would make a smart 'buissness case' tell them that, i really need to have access to internet running non stop as i am running a webportal (or w/e) and everytime i get troubles because of _your_ service it costs me both time and customers make a script that you could have infront of you while calling. And if they dont take off xx amount of your bill you will have to switch to another ISP and also even maybe try to get back the some or all of the money you have payed to them so far or for the past year. Im sure they do not want to loose customers and would reduce the bill or even give you a free month. Its atleast worth a shot.[/COLOR]

Hehe I wasn't suggesting the way the shard works should be changed to suit me, I was just showing how in comparison smoke losing 2 hours is not such a huge deal for him when he can go 24/7.

By the way, 2 missing hours out of a month represents less then .5% of the time in a month so my ISP would probably say something like 'ok we'll take .5% off your bill to match the down time', I don't want 2 cents off lol. It was just an example of how ridiculous the argument or claim would be. Being down for a week or two is a different story, and smoke didn't even miss a week, let alone a day of macroing, a few hours is all.


I don't see how everyone skips over the point that this macroing was done after being told server down and when nobody else could macro. omg I keep telling everyone I wasn't online macroing after everyone couldn't WHEN the shard crashed i poped open the .on menu took a picture i was at 95.1 THERE WAS A TIME WARP so i lose 1.3 of skills that's why i was pissed off i wasn't macroing during the time of the bugged shard. (well i was but i didn't count it in the screen shot, the next morning when i fully macroed over night i got to 97.5) How many times do i have to explain my self jesus it's in like 5-6 posts. I DIDN'T CONTIUNE NOR COUNT MY SKILL POINTS AFTER THE SHARD HAS CRASHED. (maybe if i write it in capitals people will understand?)
