That was my entire point? There should be no where in the game where EVERYONE can not get to [the VIP area is different]. I think an RP city would be fine, but not to say "if you don't RP you can't come in..".

I think a big misconception with roleplaying is what it is to be exact. It doesnt mean you have to come in all "Hail!, How art thou fair sire?". Because it isnt. you can still walk in and say "hey whats up?" if thats your character.Instead of lol, just do *Laughs*. Yeah some people are mor Hardcore than one another, but you have to realize IN wasnt a super rp shard. Id say the majority was mediocre. All the Hardcore RPers are probably over at grimwold (sorry for the name drop devs, feel free to edit this) where you have to write book to get in. its prob harder to speak 733+ all the time than it is to "rp" a murderer. JUst give that some thought

In the second quote by Brandon he refers to the section you must be tagged by a GM to enter; meaning if they got that for this "RP Town" you must be tagged to enter.

First off; read the entire post before trying to sound smart and make me look stupid. You have contradicted yourselves, and eachother multiple times. I am merely stating you guys can dub a town RP town; Occlo was not specially created for PVPers, they chose for it to be that.
Second; I think a custom built city, with special rules is stupid, it is a waste of time, and with your creative imaginations you can come up with a town you wish to RP in, and take matters into your own hands if needed.
I never actually contradicted myself there, I have different views on how the town should be ran than others. What I would like to see is an area where leet speak isn't allowed. I don't care who comes in, murders people or decides to stop in a pub and share a pint. Just so long as I don't hear, "LOL PWNED NOOB!" or something such as that while I'm there. I couldn't care less if a well-known "leet speaker" came in and killed me, :laughed, and said, "Better luck next time." over my corpse. Just as long as he understood not to use "leet" words while he was there.
And as to the comments on segregating ourselves, I don't see myself spending any more of my time there than I do in Britain. Its just somewhere I can meet other people and carry a conversation when I'm sick of being interrupted by completely OOC comments.

Yeah, we could just pick a town and go there, but thats not really fun. I dont know about you, but Player build towns are always cool. Since the whole banking issue is well....a big issue here. Maybe when you reach X amount of houses or people in your town, you will be able to purchase a bank box.
As a matter of fact. It would be cool if you could BUY (not get for free), other decorations for a city. Roads, Lamps, Benches, Etc.
Just naming an inhabited city as a RP city kinda sucks...mostly because then only innocents could go there, and not murderers =P

Well; that could be a good idea, but later on .. Right now GMs need to get all the bugs and stuff out. Later on that could be an option.

jI like this idea. Perhaps it could be a town and the "entrance" is guild door .. but for a town stone that soh can be accepted into that is controlled by the gods.

you guys want to talk about fairness? we have occlo because its made for pvp and we decided from the start XUO players will get everything involded with pvp lets talk about what in players have what xuo players dont, first off you guys know the world since its not our spawns etc... second you guys are gmed mining,alch,inscript,blacksmith and we gotta do that still we do not complain about your skills/rp rewards/statics or whatever you guys have so stop compareing that we have occlo you guys "should" get somthing its fair ass is..

Who are you talking to? You need to stop bunching "IN" players all together. Im a former IN character and I started with NOTHING. All this is about is making a god damn town which is RP based. Everyone is entitled to their oppinions and not even all of us "INer" are agreeing with eachother here. I dont think it should be limited only to citizens who RP like a guild door. I think there should just be a mayor who can enforce certain rules, like no L33t talk. I think any town that gets big enought, RP or not, should be able to enforce town rules, or laws.
And tbh...who gives a shit about occlo! Its an unguarded empty ass town. Wow!!!

You have to realize these situations.
1. Rpers love fantasy, imagination, and using their mind in a more intelligent way than using profane words to get their thoughts across to another individual.
2. It is quite agrivating when some individual comes towards you and starts spewing nonsense towards yourself because he/she thinks its ridiculous to Role play.
2a. Or if the individual just has a crap for brains and just spews that crap from the hole in his head.
3. When we roleplay, it brings us to another world.
For a related example on imagination and fantasy to the extreme, Wicca, or other religions. You use imagination to coordinate with fellow members of your beliefs to fulfill your needs until satisfied for that period of time.
Role playing is no different.
Example two
Drug addicts need dope to survive or function during the day. This is something they enjoy doing, so they seek out means to fulfill that need.
Though thats a more extreme approach in relation to Role playing because it makes it sound like its an unending addiction. It is addicting and has its rewards, just not to an extreme measure.
Role playing is for fun. Such as sex, we have sex for fun sometimes. Or we drink for fun, smoke cigarettes, go play volleyball, golf, hockey, etc. We do these events for our own personal fun. So when someone comes and tries to ruin this event we are partaking in, we want to distance ourselves, UNLESS we are both engaging in an (ooc) conversation.
The point is, don't **** up our fun because you aren't having fun. And if you're having fun ruining ours, go somewhere else.

You don't like drugs, so you stay away from them. You won't cry at them how you hate them, because you might get your ass kicked.

You love drugs, they make you happy and fly in the sky. Your buddy hands you a gun and says I want you to kill this man. You don't do it because it is morally wrong.
Three
An individual points a gun at your head. You don't like it, but you aren't *****ing about it because you don't like the situation, so you succumb to your submissiveness.
Think about these things gentlemen.
Don't ruin our fun because you're having a bad day everyday.
