Erhh what does those weapons have to do with GM blacksmiths ?
Those weapons came from peopel hunting monsters, not crafters.
Exactly. Which they cannot do as well.

Lerri Wrote:im a "vet" and i dont have a single GM skill, i have a bunch above 80 tho, why am i not complaining about skillgain? its simple. because the amount of *****ing and whining you guys are doing is going to desensitize the staff to the point where they dont give a shit..and then things are going to suck for all of us.
youv made your point, grow up and stop whining, if its going to be changed then one more OH MY GOD SKILLZ SO HARD WANT PVP NOW NOW isnt going to make anyone change their minds...
this is a merger of two old shards, and whats done is done whether you like it or not, personally i dont give a rats ass.

No one is whining, they're trying to show their views but the players from the older shard keep spraying out comments such as "carebear" and saying the GMs will "stop listening" soon. Anyone who stops listening deserves to lose their playerbase, in my opinion. And stop acting like we've never had to macro. For christ's sake, between OSI and original *****, I never even had GM tactics and I a played ltitle everyday when I was in highschool. Don't give me or anyone shit about having to work for something- we've done it. A good portion of you don't have to, and we understand that. They've not once asked for anything except a better chance to compete with you guys, or an outlet to get up going just a bit quicker.
It's not whining but trying to proactively contribute and see if there's a feasible, economical solution to help newer players compete with a bullshit stacked team. Because guess what, when new players come and WE'RE set up and running, it'll be a poor disadvantage for them, too. They deserve a chance to get macroing quickly as possible for skills that make them eligible to compete against us. Or at least defend themselves when hunting.
It's your attitude that desensitizes people and makes them recoil, not expressing your ideas.

anywho alot of you are whining, (wah wah we dont care were gm already) fact is skillgain is easier here than it was on all of the shards iv played for long term. and moaning to have it made quicker is not gonna change it.
there are however alot of us vets who have agreed that it should be easier for the new players to compete, infact most of us have. However changing skillgain is not one of those things, better lower end monster loot would be a good start, or weapons being fixed so it doesnt take 5 minutes to kill a skeleton.
DeNiro Wrote:all of you who complain all the time and say "why do they get to be gm everything and we have to start from scratch?? its so unfair! why?" becouse we ALSO had to start from scratch before the merge.. i macroed over 2 months to get the skills that i have now.. do you relly mean that you should have them for free? you should also know that it was much harder to gm some skills on INR than here on INX, becouse skillgain wasnt rep based..
this is a MERGE more than a opening of a new shard.. so its not really unfair.. or am i wrong?
Smurtle Wrote:LOL
If it takes more than ten minutes to kill a skeleton, christ. You can kill a player faster than that.
Lowering monster loot won't be worth it and from what I've seen, they're fine, economically.
I've seen people in GM crafted armor already. Not many can buy it right now. Not many won't. So..again...*DEEP BREATH*:
To properly start off the economy, if that's what you REAAAAAAAAAAALLY want, lowering monster loot will not affect it as greatly as having 3rd day blood rock or golden armor tossed about left and right. By the time we would GM the smithy, the influx of products would lower the price of more valuable armors, which inevitably would raise my opportunity cost, so..I'd be forced to just make it for myself, never sell, and just gank, gank, gank, gank naked. I mean, honestly.
If you can't see that taking an hour to kill a dragon or ten minutes or even more to kill a skeleton, you're not helping the economy because you actually need a means of competing.
To properly compete and have no outlet to get started just a LITTLE faster: it's like trying to sell sperm in a whore house. By the time these kids get their crafts up.
If we can't hunt, we can't buy from you guys. ;/ You'll probably horde them all anyway.
kitehimuro Wrote:Uhh. In the long run everyone will be hoarding armors, including you. Sure, you are frustrated for not having the starter skills of imported characters, but in a month or two it will fade. Or the complainers leave. Both ways, things will normalize. But just because some people can start making the armors now doesn't mean noone will EVER need armor again. You bought a pant, that means you'll NEVER buy one again? Armor gets damaged, sometimes destroyed, sometimes decayed on corpses, also new players who come later on will also need to buy armor. On IN1 half the shard was gm smith, and people still been buying armors, even 4 years in to the shard's lifetime. Since there aren't any powerscrolls here, everyone has the same chance to reach the same 100% skill limit sooner or later and it's not like the current "vets" with thier transferred characters will form mobs to find and murder every single "newbie" character trying to max out skills.
