I dont really have an opinion if I like the pits or not, I really loved the first place you went in to when you stepped on the stone, A really nice and comfortble place for people to chill out and talk really, it might even be to nice, so people might want to hang around there instead of citys 
I didn't like the "Pits" look though, it felt abit dull but that's just me, it was nicely decorated, i just didnt like it as much. But the problem isn't "If you dont like the PITS don't go there" cause that's how you will split the community, we need to make it them somehow so everyone likes them
