Yea, Taran , you got it right about the gump. It's because people aren't always moving from spot to spot, we have many dungeons that require fair amount of time to go through, or they may tame a ride for 30 mins or whatever, so you don't see the message, thus right now server status is much more useful than .sam.
And I don't really like sysmessage because of the reasons Fable and Luda mentioned. Although the message itself isn't that bad because you can enter some other region before recalling to the victim, and sometimes you just don't think about hunting someone down, then message appear and you may change your plans.
So I myself don't really care will sysmessage stay or not, just make the info more detailed and the option to check where people are everytime you want.
