The GM Bard reward - My guess is these people got if from making a new character with that skill. Kind of hard for some of us to do 3 years later. And yes, I could just make a new char but then it's stuck on my account until I get a GM to delete it and eventually I run out of new characters to make just to get a newbied item.
Stackable items - I love the idea of using a container for this, hopefully we can come up with clever containers for the other items
MOTD - It also helps those who don't come at all.
Xtreme spawns - 4-5 spots for the whole shard? And how many other good hunting spots are there? Another 4-5? So that's 8-10 quality hunting spots for the whole shard. We do hope to get more then 30-40 people right? Good luck sharing 8 spawns among 80 players... thats 10 people per spawn!! Eventually people will get so fed up with getting killed at every spawn that they won't bother hunting
Carpentry/Logs - No tailoring isn't the hardest skill to gather resources for. Yes it is limited based on the respawn (I estimate about 12 hours) but you can get about 6k cloth (if you know all the cotton and flax spawns) in about 10 minutes of walking around plus 15 minutes of making it into cloth. Plus you can also get resources from sheep if you want to go find those. Carpentry is not the easiest skill to gather resources for since it's like 5-12 per tree and there isn't a tree on every tile and its 10x harder to make a nice script for. Even blacksmithy is easier to gather resources for since you can get 10+ ingots per tile and every tile has ingots. Hell it's even easier to gather resources for alchemy and inscription than it is for carpentry; just teleport around and say vendor buy a few times. To get 100 boards I have to go to 4 different buildings, while with tailoring I can get over 5k cloth by going to 4 different buildings. BIG BIG difference between the two.
Watering plants - Well I guess there's no harm in not adding it since you can still use other ways.
Range - :p what about equipping items from a chest 1 tile away? When I get dressed in the morning I take something out of my dresser and put it on. I don't have to stand ontop of it to put something on lol.
Character deeds - Can you explain the cons in more depth in that thread? I really don't see them. If you're worried about the RP aspect to it, you should be able to sit in a tavern and tell a stranger your name is boo if you don't want them to know your real name. And for the realism aspect of it, I can tell people whatever I want when they ask me my name. MATTHEW doesn't float in the middle of the air above my head wherever I go lol.
Hunting competition - I know you think I'm a genious but start me off on something small :p
As for the suggestions that aren't CRUCIAL, can a note be made of these at least for when you evil devs that sleep with other evil people have some down time?
You still can't point out a NEGATIVE aspect to this for me so until you can you can't argue against it.
