Meh it takes like 10 days to get a fully functional pvp character. Skill gain was already made easier at least 2 times now and there is no need for it to be handed out even more.
Those players that you know who can't macro for a little over a week aren't really going to add much to the shard anyway. I mean if they can't even afk here what makes you think they will actually do something in game.
Anyways this argument is just like me saying I know of at least 25 people who won't play here because the pvp isn't to their liking. If we changed it they would come and guess what, there would be pvp. So what difference is there between these two suggestions really? Why would we make skill gain easier yet again when it seems pretty clear that this pvp targets a selective group? Meanwhile shards with equal skillgain and a different pvp have way more players then us. As a matter of fact there is a shard up right now that I used to staff on that has many times our playerbase and the skill gain there is quite comparable to here.
Seriously though, it merely takes a week to make a pvp character and if players aren't willing to spend a week to make one I just don't see how players like that would benefit the shard all that much. Especially when we could change something else and have players join/come back as well and those ones are fine with the skill gain.
