I've just got to ask this, because every time I see a post about the economy and people start griping about the skill transfers I ask myself this same damned question. Please tell me...
HOW are new players coming onto the shard now, with people who've had transfers (and some of those transfers only having been a boost btw, not everyone had GM every-bloody-thing tansferred) and had a little foot in the gold pot already....ANY DIFFERENT than new players coming to a shard that's been up for a year or so with players (most likely the majority of them) who are dominating the economy then as well, having GMed such skills and what not.
I honestly can't see the difference. Maybe I'm just ignorant of a few facts, but I don't see how the two situations are any different. Starting new on an old shard is just as difficult as starting here new the way I see it. NO ONE rules the economy yet, because no one wants to spend money. No one wants to spend money, because gold is a pain in the arse to get. That's why the economy's hurting. Joe Schmoe having a castle doesn't hurt the economy, however he worked to get it. People not having the leisure time to get the money to compete doesn't really hurt the economy either. Yeah it makes the game more of a pain in the ass for people who don't have as much time as others, but that's life. That's like people who can work a full time job make more money than people who can only work part time jobs. I dunno, I'm tired and aggrivated. Anyway, the original point is...I don't see the difference in the two situations. Point it out to me if you do.
Oh, and I agree with Wolds post.
