Diabolical, the playerbase hasn't dropped. After every restart we have less clients online, but as you can see on the graph it just goes up after the restart. We have had 2 crashes in the last 2 days though so that's why it will seem the playerbase has dropped.
And even if we had a few clients less, I wouldn't worry too much. I just hope that the players leaving are the whiny, *****y players who make me just want to quit staffing sometimes.

The player base has dropped. Of course it has dropped more around the crashes, but a month ago this sever was peaking 300 people, now it's pushing 200.
And you knew damn well what you were getting yourself into when you started staffing. Nothing has ever changed on free UO servers and nothing ever will. People will never see eye to eye.

Elcid Edit - 'removed offtopic'
There are hundreds of people with hundreds of thousands of gold and its all from Resources, if you guys think the entire server is about pvp you are wrong, other people approach it differently. And if the economy is ruined the server will poof.
If you can't understand that then you are one of the problems.

The way people get around the gump is by dying, and walking to a resser. No one actually has something that clicks the "right" button every time it comes up.
I partially understand the whole no resource gathering, but I think a lot of it is hoo-ha. Afk = Away from keyboard. I'll sit here for hours and play another game, or watch tv, or chat, whatever. I don't tab over every 2 minutes, it's annoying. And I don't even macro at Minoc Mines. But to know that if I don't respond within a few minutes I'll be jailed, ore will be removed, and my skill set to 0 is just insane.
This problem is going to be re-occurring, especially for people who did not receive transfers and are trying to catch up with the rest of the people.
The economy is already ****ed, if you ask me. A few people already have castles, people got their statics transfered which is just stupid, if you ask me. I even thought that transferring most skills was insane, but to transfer statics... it's not right.
People are trying to catch up, but it's hard when everything people do to make a little bit of cash is either disabled, nerfed, or you get in trouble for doing it.
I know the shard is new, and there is still a lot of things to work on. But this just doesn't seem like the best way to handle things.

So I guess you could do a better job Diabolical?
It's not like you're making the situation better with your posts. You should try to stay positive and be helpful instead.
I knew people would disagree a lot when I signed up for staff, but I can only take so much crap.

More craftable weapons would make the economy better. Ones that people actually use. The only craftable that i'm seeing is an elven bow, which is to be nerfed.
Bring back things that are moderately difficult to make and are moderately expensive to buy but are still worth it in pvp.
The Cho Ku Nu would be nice to have again if it was a little buffed up.
I'm not sure about HF or SoV, i think they were too powerful but maybe an alternative?
Also, armor needs to play a bigger part in pvp and hunting. Right now it doesn't make a difference.

I used to be positive on this forum, but after all of my post to help better the shard were ignored and flamed, all I can be is negative and truthful.
It's kinda hard when I said like 2 weeks ago what was going to happen is happening and I tried to give some insight on how to change it and I got flamed, it's really hard to be positive.
I'll try once more, but then screw it.
What is the purpose of no afk resource gathering? It's not the people with the resources changing the economy. It's the people paying for the resources. And where do they get their money?
Blacksmithing - Nice armor that no one wears out of town, oh and they do decorate their house with it.
Carpentry - House Decoration once again, glad I played how many godly amount of hours to legity get that wood.
And Fishing - Are you serious? What else is the skill good for, I think you only get 1gp per fish steak, oh man!
The way I see it is this. 90% of resource gathering is unguarded, and really easy to kill them people.
I think people forget that this is a game! 600k for a rare random dye tub.... How many hours of legitly playing would that be for a damn color? All that does is encourage the trammies. I mean seriously it's a dye tub! It won't win you any fight, only thing it might win you in beauty pageant on top of Britain bank. Do I think they should be free? No. But do I think I should have to play for like 60 hours to get one, no. I play this in my free time, I work a lot. I have to macro stupid useless shit a lot of the time because I don't got time to do anything better. So for the people who actually have a life other than UO get totally screwed.
Do I know the complete solution as of now? No I don't. All I see is a bunch of rules forcing mostly the new players of the shard to have it even more difficult while the players who played on buggy sphere versions of this shard get it hand fed. On INR or XUO was resource macroing illegal? I dunno about either of them shards really.
All I'm saying is it's not fair to transfer skills stones and statics and then tell people they can't resource gather.

I like the effort put into your suggestions Valas, but I dont know how adding some more craftables will help. People will still be hunting and crafting their weps. The only difference I think it will make is that the gold will shift from people hunting for it to the people who put together the rare weps. It doesnt fix the economy or slow down player incomes.
In regards to all transfers wether they are skill based, gold based, or static houses. These were all agreed upon and we took the best solution that was put forth. We worked out as many flaws as possible and tried to make it balanced for both sides. Please try to show some understanding for what difficult decisions we had to make between sacrificing the players we had on INR or XUO and the prospective players. We knew we would keep the INR and XUO players if we coaxed them into staying, but we couldn't predict the amount of players who would come over from another shard.
If you guys have problems stop b*tching about them and put forward a suggestion. B*tching doesn't help us improve the shard for you, suggestions do.

A bump up the price on Arrows :p
How am i going to make money of my crafted arrows when you can buy them for 2g each at a vendor (shafts = 4g , feathers = 3g ) And I'm even using my own logs :p
Well on a more serious I agree of making more items that players would want.
Crafter makes item -> PK/PvP'ers wants item -> PK/PvP'ers hunt/pk for money -> Crafter gets money -> PK/PvP looses item in battle... And loop
Another thing could be this:
Player has tailoring skill 30 and makes bandanas and gets 1g from it -> skill 40-60 = 2g -> 60-90 = 3g -> 100 = 4g.

Probably should just let people afk macro.. it is kind of crappy when everyone is a zombie and not actually at the computer.. but seriously, this game is pretty much dead. If were all just here to have fun, just let people play the way they want too. Everyone here has already gmed tons of skills hundreds of times in the past shards, and probably done everything their is to do.
Why not just let AFK macroing be? In the past I would have never said this.. but the game is as old as hell, their isn't anything new, just let people get their skills up so they can pvp and fight champions (assuming you can on this shard) because fighting champions was the best thing to do other then PVP in my opinion.
