Lindenwood Wrote:1) From what I can see, there are is a FAR greater number of people who want the PvP changed to not be so "lame" (between wanting PvP to have more depth than scrolls and pots, to wanting to get rid of the spamming).
2) I couldn't agree more with Tabion's statement that it takes more skill to use resources sparingly and exactly when you need them, than at practically any time its convenient.
3) WTF is "IN's RolePlay?" Im really curious what you mean by that. Its been pointed out that there isn't a single thing that people can look at and say "ah, feels like IN again," so why would XUO PvP remain completely unchanged? From what I hear, this shard is more of an XUO3 than anything (easy monsters, easy combats, easy resources, PvP just like XUO, etc etc)**...
4) But I honestly think they are right that little or nothing will change. Sure, maybe it will be made that you have to use Iron armor to PvP now... but in the big picture how much is that gonna do 6 months from now, when we have more GM miners and blacksmiths? I think the staff has shown to be somewhat partial to where they came from, and it seems the ones who have the biggest say in changes came from XUO. Im not saying that's how it is for sure, only that I will have to be proven wrong before I believe otherwise. Im also not even demanding that things be changed to be more like IN. My point is that it is a lame excuse to say that "XUO PvP should stay the same because everything else is from IN."

Easy Monsters: You can melee a dread lord while you go surf the forums... on IN you could get only a few hits on one before you had to back up and heal. They have recently been made a good bit harder, so that you have to heal every 10 hits or so when they get one of their 30HP crits on you, but its still suprisingly easy, especially if you summon a couple blade spirits on it (in which case you dont really have to worry about anything). You can almost do the same thing with dragons even. I usually just sit there and fight it, healing when Im hurt, but for the most part not moving until its dead.
Easy Resources: Regs, Arrows / Bolts, Blank Scrolls, and other things can all be purchased hundreds at a time from vendors. On IN, all they carried was 50 at a time (I actually think you could ONLY craft blank scrolls). Secondly, Cotton fields make tailoring and healing very easy.
hunting..i agree
cotton feilds..i agree not because i care but because i see how it matters
resources, i dont agree because xuo was always about beaing able to pvp soon that doesn't mean free everything but the essentials were easy
magery, swords, resourses there are tons of ppl that want to be able to do something when they log on not just macro
armor- i agree, im glad that armor will matter when ganking soon
crafting skills are really hard right?? whats the problem
