No your completely right. Wow for instance, is made so you dont have to think at all.. thats how they attract the young generation as well as the old. The kids of today "not like us" hate games that you have to think, they just want flash and want things to be EASY. Now of course that isnt EVERY kid.. but if you ever play WoW lol, walk around and see the conversations going on. Kids of today would hate UO because its a game you actually have to do some research and work to become a real contender. While in Wow.. as long as you keep doing quests and play 24x7 you will make it to the top.
I played WoW and COH and both only lasted a month and got bored. I find all of the games coming out are like that now..
Its all just about money now anyway.. most Pay to play MMORPG's of Today, basically make you pay to get useless items like clothes that do nothing special, or events that have soo many ppl that it lags so bad you can barely move, and all the veterans reap the rewards lol
I'd rather play CS anyday.

Lindenwood Wrote:Actually, the exact opposite. You fit the exact description I was talking about (the "genious" type). .
Basically, any game that requires greater user effort (either in the form of personal skill for multiplayer shooter games like the HalfLife mods, in the form of time invested, like for skill gain in UO, or a combination of both like in gaining skill in UO, and using it in the relatively complicated PVP), is, IMO, geared more toward more "advanced" minds. From what Ive seen, games like WOW require less user effort to get good entertainment out of it. However, again only from what Ive seen, WOW seems to be more of a game that "walks you through," since it seems to be basically like [Quest, Quest, Quest, gain character level, repeat with new list of quests]. Rather than UO where there is no more of a "set path" than there is in the real world, which is basically to "get ahead, and be happy," heh.
I know I sound extremely conceited saying all this, but it is simply what I have observed.
