I didn't mean that Taran, anyway, if you do that you can craft weapons with ONLY ingots, I don't think you should be able to craft Vanquishing weapons.

I know you didn't mean that but I think it's a good idea. Only the damage level will be increased, not the accuracy level. And you would only be able to craft vanq weapons with sapphire which is pretty rare. It's not like vanq weapons are that hard to get ahold of anyway...

Nice Taran Big Grin but don't you think the weapons should be kicked back 1 ingot level or so for practicality? I don't see this being more than a fashion thing if they require such rare ingots. As you said it's actually quite easy to get vanq weapons, and it's incredibly easy to get power. Just my thoughts I'm all for the change either way, it's a cool feature. I just don't see anyone wasting precious sapphire ingots to create a sapphire colored vanq bardiche with no accuracy bonus Tongue

And about the custom craftables with special properties, we already have that. HH have a chance of casting a minor explosion, the Black Widow has a chance of poisoning the target. Other weapons deal more damage to specific monsters. It's the low and middle end craftables which aren't worth gathering the resources for that I want to make better. Well either that or make them easier to craft. We'll see what happens.

I was hoping you guys would add more PvM areas that are GROUP oriented...there really aren't any good bosses to kill, other than the guardian, and Pyros isn't worth the time because it takes so long to get the item to spawn him.
I was actually going to make a thread about your second point =p I tested low to mid craftables and they suck! xD So I'm looking forward to what you might do with them. One thing I was thinking was BLEED damage on the Blood Tentacle (small, like 10-15 damage over 8 seconds, but cant be cured).

Yea Mito I have bags FULL of vanqs/power weapons. I have 1 bag of about 40 power/vanqs that are +20 and +25 only lol. So using sapphire wouldn't be appropriate unless it was like 2 ingots =p My other bag has 36 power/force weps that are +15/20 lol

I'm sure in those 40 you got there are many weapons that you will never use, the point here is that you could make a Bardiche/Hally/whatver vanquishing useful weapon you want without any "random" loot.

This, not to mention Atlas how long have you been playing on this shard? In that time you've only managed to get 40 in a year?(estimated time of shard uptime) and half of them will never be used as Mito said :p

Few things that came to mind:

1. The ingots required should be of equal use for other things. - If you make it daemon, reactive, saph. You will never see daemon ingots used. You will never see saph used. Majority will make the weps out of reactive and save the other ingots, especially daemon which has other uses.

2. IN custom weps should be vanq level. Other craftable weps should be lower than this. - IN weps require training MULTIPLE skills which have been made extra DIFFICULT to train and requiring hard to find custom LOOT. I'm not 100% sure about RATES to craft but if I remember right if you've accomplished all of the above, you still fail often. Did I mention you need to finish a RECIPE quest to be able to actually craft it. That's FIVE mechanisms used to increase the difficulty of getting custom weapons. I think at least two should be made easier. Require fewer GM craft skills. And if someone has gone through the trouble of hunting down all the ingredients, they should succeed most of the time having trained so hard before even getting the ingredients. You can't change the difficulty of training the skills. You could change the ingredients required and that might be a better option than success rate. And recipe quests are a great addition I would hate to see lessened.

3. Making everything dye-able - Part of the coolness of having custom IN weapons was that they were colored nice colors and you stood out when using one. With dye-able leather and everyone having dye tub collections of rare colors, the sexyness of a custom weapon is somewhat diminished. I don't personally like the idea of being able to color weapons with ingots, UNLESS the ingots used were common colors like valorite, verite, gold, shadow, etc. Then I think this would be really wonderful.

He's been playing for a month or two less than me, so about 6 months or so. He isn't kidding smoke, if you knew how to get to any dungeon you'd find out how easy it is as well. Why even make an e-nerd comment like that? You clearly don't know what you're talking about :/ Also, he can very well use all of them considering weapons are pretty well balanced. Of course some still suck, but most are well balanced.
I'll tell you that if those craftables are added, with sapphire being vanq and reactive being power, I will never ever waste the ingots on that... Complete waste, because I can pick up a +20 power two-handed axe that will be better than a reactive bardiche or a sapphire bardiche.
