could this major lag have anything to do with it? i couldn't even run without freezing in an empty town with 5 players on.

I was running around and not lagging so Im not sure if the bug was occuring in the area you were in or what.

Sorry for the troubles though, we figured out whats causing it and its being worked on with top priority.

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]Be sure that we always investigate crashes, with crashlogs errorlogs and if needed staff/playerlogs. But only because a player have said they crashed the server we do not automatically think they did it as many players like to brag about stuff they did not do to seem "cool". Why we always rely on the crash/error logs in first hand and if they only provide some information the information they provide could be confirmed in staff and or playerlogs. (the crashlogs are pretty sweet tough and if a player would crash the server it would probably be failry easy to see how when and why in them alone)

Last night sounds like it crashed but it was actually a freeze (it never went down as it should) so players who already was logged on could continue to move and talk but where unable to use any abilities or spells or even walk on pitsrunes (as the scripts stopped working).

This is why you where unable to log on if you loged out. But could stay ingame but you where unable to do anything more than running/talking. (please correct me if im wrong)

It also explain why the status page stopped working, once the scripts failed the status page failed. Only the "game engine" was running. (this have happened in the past aswell, a long time ago ago like a year or more, it did not appear as teh past month crashes we have had(why i think that it is nothing a player have done (with intention) atleast in the near past - altough taran will probably figure out the root cause when he check logs.)[/COLOR]

Ye the server need a hard restart, We have to wait for Taran or Yankovic to do this.

I'm sorry but I'm at work atm so I won't be able to restart the server until around 7pm server time. Hopefully Yanko will be able to restart the server before that.

But like I said in another post, if I find out that anyone has been able to crash the server on purpose and keep doing it without telling staff about it, then that person will get banned.
Unless that person were to send me a PM about it and tell me how he/she crashed the server.

I saw "Connection lost" screen when i was playing game,
than i tryed to connect and i saw "Entering Britannia" screen but couldnt enter,
Now i try to log in but i see the this screen "Couldnt connect to ultima online. Please try again."

Great i wanted to have povocation gmed by tonight guess that won't happen and if theres a time warp it'll be even longer.

Also shade provided the conversation about madman saying that he crashed the server so i guess it just needs to be verifyed by taran when he gets home from work.

Trust me Tech when server ll be back you ll start at last save before crash... now you just spending your time... thats all... :icon_twisted:
