You'd even notice I don't post as often or as harshly as I used to. It gets old beating a dead horse and then someone comes back with another dead horse to throw.

Some of us work, have girlfriends, go to school and have other obligations to attend to. We all try our hardest to come on and help out the shard in our spare time. Obviously UO is our hobby and we give it our full attention when possible.

Please be patient, we are good people, really...

If you honestly want us to be more dedicated perhaps a monthly donation would suffice.

when the shard first went live it had 280 players and now its down to 150 which is a huge decrease, and things need to start getting better

I dont think we lost players to the gms... Its probably the play style, some might like it some not.

And who cares about viz breaking the law? Im pretty sure a lot of people break to law, like smoking weed or carrying drugs... Please leave the real life out of the game kinda because you got no reason to start getting into their personal life i think.

There are some gms i havent seen but im not to worried about it.

I have talked to some members of this shard(I won't release whom), and they have decided to leave and/or play two shards, one being IN and the other being *****. The reason? PVP They claim the PVP here is extremely boring and repetative. You'd be suprised to find out that some of the top PVP'ers here have said those things.

It seems the UO community (overall, not just this forum) will never grow up. What is it that attracts whiners, griefers, and just overall cryababies to UO? I dont get it. Stating your oppinions are fine, you dont have to agree with them. I disagree with Galens and Smoke (to a degree), but getting all wound up about it is just pathetic. Come on man, I used to look forward to reading this forum, but now it just gives me a headache. This is a godamn game for christ sake. arent games supposed to be fun?? Dude, it is true. People leave because of the PVP. You have to look it from a non-xuo player's perspective, the pvp seems to be boring. It uses spam, just a few magics, mostly ganking and armor is not even necessary. If I'd say it myself, I think the PVP will kill the shard. You stick to it too hard, there can be no changes at all, it has to be the way it was on XUO and the staff supports this because it was agreed to be this way when the two shards merged.

Using spam at this PvP improves it, not the other way around. If you would ask two good players to duel without spam then the duel would most likely take hours, instead of minutes. The spam makes it even harder and even more fun, not "easier", that is only if only one person uses it.

You can use a lot of magics, but there is always SOME magics that are stronger than others tho, and most people prefer to use that. So they find one strong spell, one good heal spell, one fast dmg spell, one real fast dmg spell, and mix them together in their pvp-style. I've seen some girl who recently started playing named Love who uses "fireball" and stuff in PvP, she's actually not that bad and those spells aren't as bad as you would expect them to be, it's fun to see some alternative fight styles in our PvP, and she proves that our PvP is not all just about a couple of spells, it's just that people stick to a couple of spells because they like them the best..

We can accept changes as in balancement in spells and in weapons/armors. But the "fight style" itself, containing the spam, containing the XUO/NOS scrolls, and containing the small mana pots and stuff. That is what we fight to keep because if we would change that around it would not even feel like XUO-pvp anymore, the pvp that is pretty much XUOs legacy. If we would remove that then I'm sure most XUO players would quit, and then this would just be another Imagine Nation shard, not a merge.. =/ I think that this PvP is good, but it is hard to get used to. I'm sure people who aren't used to it may fight a few times, die real fast, then decide that the PvP sucks and quit. But seriously, this is a PvP for pros, you need to PRACTICE A LOT to get good at it, but once you are good at it you'll be kicking ass at it! :]

I'd also like to mention that it is too bad that most people quit before they have learned the PvP. Perhaps they do not have enough patience to practice enough to get good at it. Either way I think that it's too bad, because I believe that most of you who do now think that the PvP sucks, would change their mind quite fast once you've learned the PvP. :/

P.S: I think what makes people leave is mostly the slow skillgain, not the PvP. But well, I could be wrong. D.S
