I agree with Taran in most of what he said. I'm sure this thread will just make Tiesto loose his will to do this tourney for you every week. Think about it, the poor guy had an car issue, and was probably thinking "oh shit, I need to get home so the players doesn't get upset!", he's such a nice guy and this is what he gets in return?

I wouldn't be surprised if he'd be the next staffmember quitting because he's lost the will to make you players happy for free.

Smoke I understand if you're waiting all day for this event and just wishing for Tiesto to come online and host it exactly at 9 PM, and I'm sure Tiesto tries to do it every week as well, but you can't just say something like "but it's just one hour a week, he should be able to do it!" - it's sunday dude, people do stuff on sunday, and if he has a bday party or something similar he will have to put that first.

What we could discuss instead is that we could split the burden of this weekly tourney with Tiesto, so if he's having an car issue we will let somebody else hold it instead, and help him out. THAT is what you should be suggesting, not that the GMs suck etc etc, that's not going to make anybody work any harder, probably rather the opposite.. :/

It's late, I'm tired, and this was probably just a lot of rambling from my side, but hopefully something good came out of it..

Tiesto kicks ass, he may not be the most active staffmember at this point due to real life, but he really cares about you players and he really tries to make this event every week for you to have fun, so give him a break if he can't do it once or twice, he's trying his hardest, leave him alone.

I got to defend the staff in this point Technique.
Its not about an hour a week, its about getting on at a EXACT time of the week, you cant do that. It is almost impossible for me to get on at a especific time all days, i have things to do and they change most days.

Be glad that Tiesto decided to host this after your post, if it was me I wouldnt do it just for your post 13 minutes late and all the drama?? Come on man.
And, you have won most of the weekly so whats the big deal of missing one??
Tiesto has been a very nice since I met him in Jacko´s XUO as a player, he wasnt GM back then. The very first day of INX he was really nice to me and my friends from the dominican republic that came back to UO, he is a really nice GM but he is around 20-22 so he got to study HARD, that stage of the university is one of the hardest I believe.
Dont blame GMs because of the playerbase, UO in general lost all its players. Everyone knows that.

Shai, Eru and Jackal. Some of the best staff since they showed up, they host many treasure hunts and so on. When im on the forest exploring Jackal comes to me and we start talking really cool and etc. This are the things I appreciate from the GMs not just doing EVENTS 24/7!! And remember that Eru and Jackal can host just CTF and Deathmatch so... and I believe Shai has done really well as a GM.

These are my 2 cents, its my opinion its not to start a fight as its happening in 95 percent of the threads.

Smoke your biggest issue is that you always come off as if you're trying to start a fight, rather than to try and fix a problem. You always have that angry attitude that makes people "not understand your point of view" even more. When you spoke to me about this at MSN earlier it was all good, the discussion was mature and everything, it's just that when you post here at the forums it rarely turns out that way, and that's where the problem is :/ Try to post a thread in the same way as you speak to me at MSN, and perhaps a lot more players would understand your point of view a little bit better. :/

Anyways what you really feel is that it we (as a staff team) should not "forget about an important event" but rather to plan it better so that the players waiting for it all day does not have to get disapointed or sad. I don't think that this burden should be all on Tiesto, we will try to plan it better in the future so that we do not miss hosting it, but Tiesto has done very well and does not deserve that kind of treatment, so lets just be nice to him and plan the events better in the future. Thanks for your input on the situation, I know you were just trying to point of something important, it just came out all the wrong way.

well man i read some of there comments and theres like no point in even discussing it because everyone just sides with the gms all the time.. and then the blame always looks like im the bad guy saying "oh be lucky he even wants to host" or "if i was him i wouldn't of even hosted after what you said or did" hell it's a privillege to be a gm i know that but were all the same were all players who play i just don't see how people can't make such a little effort for 1 hour out of 168 hours in a week..

EDIT: also i wasn't blamming tiesto in general it's just because taran thought he was hosting everything single tour up until these 2 last ones that's why i pointed it out.. I said i was greatful for tiesto for even brinning the idea up from xuo.

Yes smoke, it is 1 hour out of 168 in a week, but it's that 1 specific hour...

Look at me for example; the past two months I played EVERY saturday and sunday from when I woke up to when I went to bed. But today I didn't play all day because I had to help my aunt with her computer...

Like Hiro said, Tiesto is around 21 years old, he has other priorities then a video game where he gets *****ed at every time he logs on. What's even worse is that he's not paid to spend his time here but he still does when I'm sure he would rather spend it with his girlfriend (sorry hate but he told me he moved on :icon_twisted

How about you go get a job and donate all the money you earn to INX as salaries for the staff. Then maybe with Tiesto's small share he won't have to work to pay for University or to fix his car so he can get to work to earn money to live...

I know in your last post you said you aren't specifically talking about Tiesto, but I've seen you ***** about other staff so just subsitute their name with Tiesto's above and it's probably the same thing (work, girlfriend/wife, school are #1 priorities).
