mm. try when buying a neutral shield you'd be able to choose a "shield style" upon purchase. a couple three choices from eru's list up there.

If this shard will be IN1 than the shields can be able to wear every guild. I explain before, chaos not means evil and order is not means good. Orders are loyal to Lord British and Chaoses are loyal to Lord Blackthorn. Both Lord's are just a character to build Ultima story. Soo everyone/everyguild can chose any side.. If a Chaos guild member wear's order shield, it is his/her shame... Also i know that "Mondain's Legacy" have some cool shields (I saw them to staffs hand in INX) and staff can be add them to use... I agree that named shields because if we can renamed our reward items we can able to put a name to our shields cause they are reward of 10.000 fame/karma... Please be remember that IN is not OSI (origin server of Ultima) and we don't need OSI rules also we are not useing OSI rules at the moment (like skill cap and stats)...

Just give it some time Galdor ;-) If they want to add different type of shields to choose from, then I am happy to wait for it!

I seriously doubt that Order guilds will ever be able to wear chaos shields and vice versa. If you really like the image of one more than the other, align your guild that way.
