Good Afternoon Everyone,
Just a thought.. I have been seeing the occasional person riding around on a MUstang or LLama but never anything... special or new...
Just an idea.. maybe we can think about adding new mount spawns.. perhaps Bonded Rides that can be ressurected and named. Not for PVP but simply for "Show". Ultima Online is part Fashion Show to quite a few players and I think it would do the Economy well to perhaps add some new colors and new types of rides in like Swamp Dragons, Ridgebacks... some cool looking colored mounts...
Also, If we want.. we can add Bond Deeds to Bond the Ride to the Owner so that the ride becomes a Gjost when it dies and can ONLY be ressed by the Owner as long as they have GM Veternary..
Just some stuff maybe we can piggy back off of but you get the picrure...
What do you guys think?

Maybe not GM vet maybe just GM healing since not many people use Veterinary or maybe it costs like 2k for you to res them? Something like that. So people don't have to train for days and days to res their beloved llama.

The "bound" (loyal) mounts sounds great to me, ive played in several shards with loyal mounts which could be resurrected by a GM vet. That would be nice.

Recent changes are aimed at increasing the availability of mustangs etc. and getting people riding them. I've not been around to see how things are going but I plan to keep an eye on the rides market and we'll tweak stuff to get the trading and use of mounts going. I totally agree that mounts are about fashion/style and I (and the other staff) loved the diversity and use of mounts on IN1, we need to allow time for the newest changes to settle in and then go from there.
Not sure about bonding, it might kill the market for tamers if people have all their favourite rides bonded...

Maybe you could settle some restrictions, like for instance only one loyal mount per account. Also making them loyal could be a hard task, like raising their karma and feeding them every day for a week or two. This way the market would stay up and everyone could choose their favorite mount so they dont loose it with a lag spike or something like that... just an opinion but i think that could work very well.

It's ok Merdento I understand what you're saying. I'll think about it and talk to Taran but I'm not 100% convinced it is a good idea. Perhaps if we think of appropriate limitations and/or difficulty, I'm not promising anything though.
