Lag Prevention
#1

Suggestion is to move the vendor mall because the more vendors and items the more lag, I mean everyone is going to hang around the Brit bank, added with the pvp and all those items on vendors, its going to add up lag. I have already noticed a difference. It is also to small and not everyone will be able to fit a vendor inside of it soon.

The Training area (merc camp) has lot's of players which will obviously slow down after a while. This place also lags and can interrupt macroing my suggestion is to make two places to train ? exactly the same place just two of them possibly one mage on the bottom and one on the top of that little tower ? or redesign it...

These are just my suggestions as you may have better ideas, but I have noticed a significant lag difference in the last month since the increase of players. I know not everyone has noticed it, I live in canada and that might be why but I would just like to let you know that some players notice that there is a difference. I have learned not to pvp in brit as hitting my macros there is a 1-2 second delay. Problem is Brit has lots of action Sad

I havent noticed this difference =x
I live in brazil and it seems ok here, though i dont pvp so my concept of lag is different of yours!
I didnt know the server laged by areas... isnt that an issue that happens due to user's hardware?

hmm we're actually building a new Buymore on top of the current one that will have 2 floors and be a bit bigger. The building itself won't cause that much lag since it will be frozen but I guess the vendors can cause a bit of lag. I'd like the vendor mall to be placed near the bank though and the new place looks great. Most action happens around the bridge and you won't lag there.

Ive just noticed a big difference in pvp around the bridge / bank area since the increase of players.
I don't know about run uo but I have seen houses with so many items in it to cause crashes.(could be the scripting to tho)

I just wanted to mention that I noticed a difference and to keep an eye Big Grin
Can't wait to see it hope it's grand.

I think the increase in lag could be all the new players running around though Tongue
People further away from the server will lag a bit more when there's a lot of people around.

Hopefully that will get better when/if we get a new dedicated server.

IMO, we need to center all commerce in one Place!
What you guyd think about a commerce room?
There we can trade , buy from vendors and meet new people =)

@ Taran Yeah so that means for me no pvp near the bank / bridge, to many people and items. (to much traffic and will only get worse me)

@Serevok there are 2 places that are generic which is the Building underneath the West Brit Bank.
the other is south east of the East Brit Bank which is for red players to go and shop there.
A lot of dealings happen on the forums in the Hall of Commerce section, If you look at Kirby I put most if not everything I sell in that forum post.

Everyone has placed there vendors in town which sucks for reds, no one has tapped that market yet.

Ahh Ok!
Thats good =)

I assume you mean making a room that is ported to from Britain. If that is the case:

If you create a particular location dedicated to commerce that is outside of Britain, it may de-centralize the city. People might move from relaxing/chatting around Brit bank and move to this new location. It could essentially remove Britain from the equation.

The current system is one that works very well, in my opinion. Because the mall is located within the city, most people are inclined to head over, do their business, and head back to Brit bank to socialize. It enables Britain to remain the centralized hub of social interaction and commerce.

centralizes hub for blue players Wink

Well, that's a given. I don't think many people expect to turn red and have a bustling marketplace in which to socialize. I would guess that most people who play this game for PvP care less about the economics and trading than those who play for PvE/crafting. The casino provides a place to reds to hang out, if they're so inclined.
