No context menus?
#1

I've tried the pre-packaged install of UO, I've tried installing fresh then patching it up, but for some reason, I can't seem to get the context menus to work on NPCs, players, nothing. Even if I try messing with the "hold shift for context menus" nothing will appear except the NPCs/players name over their head, but no context menu.

Any way to fix this, or is this intended?

I'm not really sure what type of menu that your looking for but hope this helps. This server is based on Sphere 51a play style and back then there weren't the updated menu's like in newer runuo server versions. For npc's to buy or sell you would use vendor buy and vendor sell to bring up gumps and with teaching skills are done with typed commands to teach/train skills. For players there isn't much detail on player gumps. Trade is done by traditional dragging and dropping item on player characters in game. And crafts gumps come up with d-clicking on item used for the craft and on the materials you'll use (ex. d-clicking on blacksmith hammer then on ingots). For quests, NPC's usually say something that you'll have to respond with a yes for example if there's a quest available and a gump comes up that way. I don't think there's a way to have menus come up like your doing :/.

Same goes for hovering over an item. Instead of hovering and having a menu thing pop up, you click the item to see the name, then use Arms Lore to get stats. The idea was, as Mystic Edge said, to emulate Sphere which was the emulator before RunUO. If I recall correctly, Sphere was based on the demo-version of UO that was shipped with the T2A expansion, way back around the year 2000.
