Hey everyone I am looking for help getting UO installed on my new Laptop. I patched it all the way to the most current version, then installed all my required files, then set up Razor just as on my other computer. Problem is after I log in and choose my char I cant get the game to load up. Like I can hear one set of footsteps then it just wont load the game up. Everything else like the UO help Icon works just wont load up the game. Any suggestions?

What about making an exception in your firewall? If I remember right I had to do that (xp pc & vista laptop). Did you try running uo or razor in XP compatibility mode?

The laptop I bought was used and has XP on it. Also I had already made the adjustment to the firewall settings to allow UO. Like I said it will let me communicate with the server just wont load the game up. My client is vers 6.0.14.2 patch 125

uhmm ive re-install my uo last week and my version is 6.0.4.0 patch 77... have you replaced your client from the one placed in download section? http://www.in-x.org/component/option,com...Itemid,62/

if using razor make sure "Patch Client Encryption" is checked

Ok so here I am again a complete reinstall later. When I try to load up the client I keep getting the same error message of it cant load up Staidx0.mul file which is complete bullSH**. I know I have installed everything correctly because I have done this numerous of times without any problems. I installed, patched, downloaded req files then tried to extract them into my UO Dir. It would not let me do this so saying that the access was denied so I had to manually copy and paste them in there. And now I cant even get the client itself to load. I know my computer is virus free because I just reformatted and have kept comodo anti virus going the whole time completely updated with Windows updated also. Any suggestions as to what the hell is wrong?

Mal, I have vista ultimate 64 bit and UO both of wich work perfectly. I think I had to right click razor and UO client to be compatible to XP or something. However I know when you reinstall/delete sometimes it doesnt get rid of the files and files become currupt. I would reccomend doing another uninstall and searching for clients and what not after the uninstall is complete to make sure there is none left on ur PC. Then dl the uo from the DL section fo the site and patching it to 6.0.3.0. Hope this helps.
