For those of you who think MSN is waaay to bloated (big) and ad-filled, check A-Patch out. Taran recommended it to me and now I've pretty much removed every MSN UI "feature" there is, I like mine to be minimalistic.

This is how it looks now:



If you do not like it this way, at least check out the feature list. You can pretty much choose as many or as few of the UI customizing features as you want.

Used Trillian back in the day and it was great, only problem was it had a lot of random crashes. I'd assume it is different now though, might be time to give it a try.

True, but there are better ways to send files. I have a group of friends that use WASTE for the chat and file sharing, but it's tricky to set up. I also have a forum where we can post stuff for multiple people to download. If all else fails, sites like RapidShare, MegaUpload, and MediaFire are nice for sending big files.
