instead of starting at pits why not turn a town into a nooby city and make newly created charcters start there?
I know exactly where is the perfect place. but im only going to post if staff cares if not meh no point in wasting my time

To be honest, I think it's a good idea, but I have the feeling you're wasting your time.

Well, from the beginning we decided we would have 2 weeks with pits and 2 weeks without pits.
I was against pits at first, but it didn't turn out as bad as I thought.
Why do you want players to start in a city instead of pits? If they start in pits they can choose to go to 4 towns instead.

The idea behind a noob town is not just the starting point but the environment.
Like new players with low skills start there, and after like 2 week of gameplay acnt get back inside,
The newb dungeon can be placed there etc. basically a place that Pks cant get too.
Its much more complex but im not going to get into detail.

It's a good idea
But make it possible for a newb to decide to go out before the newb time.
Imagine I came here to play with a friend that is already a vet. I don't want to wait 2weeks to be able to play with him, or let him help me.
Dunno if then everyone will leave noob town asap to beg money on the brit bank, but.. I think it's a good idea. If the noob town is well made and user friendly with some tips and all, it might work.

Sounds just like Haven on OSI. I think it was Occlo on the Trammel side. On a smaller shard, I dont know if its necessary. The more people in the world the better. I dunno, 2 cents...

Ugh people are getting the wrong ideas.
I meant turn Cove into a noob town, You can leave freely but only new players can enter, its a small town protected by a fence,

And yes u can leave and come back if your still within the like 2 week period.
put some training dummies add a mine in that rock mountain leading to orc fort on the other side that way noobs can mine, Fish at cove docks,
plenty of trees around cove to lumberjack and if that mining cave is added to orc fortress they have a place to hunt.
Its a nice place where all new players with low skills can commute and hang out and be protected from pkers and such dangers.

I think its a good idea.. It would actually bring people to Cove, because at the moment is useless (it was useless on every shard I played to be honest lol)

i ussualy go to cove...
i ussualy see people at cove...
I dont really think that u need a "heaven" for newbies, you can fish at brit, you can mine at the guarded mine, you have a nebwie dungeon, for doing that i think its better occlo for newbie "Heaven" it is an island with near trees, near to fish, with the posibility to put sheep spawns and only u need a rune to a guarded mine and there a rune back to occlo
just my opinion, i keep thinking that there are a lot of things more importants to do that a heaven.

Nah, its just nice to be a safe place with people that are you level low skills.
I think it would be cool and make alot of thsoe rnadom players that try the shard daily stay.

Well instead of doing the time thing, why not do it by skills? Since you only get 2 50's and everything else is 0, put it at say, 200 skill points and you arent a newb. (just an example). Since cove is in that little section, why not section off the entire land nearby for new players to lumberjack and other stuff.
