i playd uo via proxy before, dont remember if it was sock4/5 tho

i used a program called ip_relay and made a tunnel on my pc at home and connected thru it on a different ports. i remember ports like 21, 80, 110 and 510 used to be open..

How do you kill that wich have no life? :EE

I thought playing through a proxy will slow the hell out of the game? What you could always do is contact the IT guy for your school and request that they open up a bit so you could play. I knew a couple of guys that did that and it was not a big problem

A proxy server works like this:

Your computer - > the proxy server - > the UO server.

The UO Server - > The proxy server - > Your computer.

So in other words, if the proxy server has good ping towards both you and the UO server, then you will still have an nice fast (not slowed down) gameplay experience. However if the proxy server has crap ping towards either you or the server, then it'll be sloooooow ;p

So lets say you have 20ms to the proxy server, and the proxy server has 50ms towards the UO server. Then your ping would be around 70ms (20ms+50ms) towards the UO server, pretty nice aye? So that's also an good way to fix your ping if it's too bad Vs Xs4all, but if u have an friend that u ping good to, one who pings good towards the server.

I may setup an proxy guide later so that the people whom can fix their ping (because they have an friend with good ping to both them and the server nearby) can have a chance of getting much better ping here at IN-X :]

Kitiara, you shouldn't use your own IP unless you've configured your PC. You should try another proxy, or open your port 1980 instead.
Good luck Wink
