its probably just my luck but it seems odd when a reaper casts flame strike 4 times in a row. they do it twice allot but 4 times!!! they seem to cast it a little to often in my opinion. considering the loot is crap.

I think Reapers are harder than other monsters that drop similar loot because they don't move.

To kill them all I do is stand behind a nearby tree. I pop out, cast a fire field, and sit there and heal while it runs down its mana. If I get uncomfortably low (like, 50 or below), I just step back behind the tree and heal back up. When it runs out of mana (it will typically cast several magic arrows or harm spells in a row), then I just go chop it down with my axe. It has I think the highest mana out of the similar magical monsters (Gargs, Gazers, and Elementals), so it might take a while. But this is the technique I use on all monsters.

However, I do think that Reapers should drop scrolls.
