i used to work at mcdonalds as a cashier and if i had an asshole customer, i still had to serve him because it was my job. i also worked in the kitchen, and if someone ordered a big mac with no oignions, lettuce, or pickles, but with ketchup and mayonaise, id make it for him cause thats what he ordered and its my job to do it, i couldn't say "no, im too f***ing lazy, make it yourself"

last time i checked our devs are not payed an hourly wage or on a salary so maybe when they are, they MIGHT script your every request, but we will still determine if its worth doing or not.

you are the owner of a company and someone comes to you and says i will pay you 1,000$ to do this for me. then you get another person who says i wil pay you 10,000$ to do this for me. now your company only has enough ressources to do one, which would you do?

I do my job without any complaints and I don't refuse to help people, when the time comes. Which you are insinuating, might I add I don’t appreciate this? I enjoy my role as a GM so long as the players aren't purposely being assholes or trying to waste my time arguing over something that has been turned down for several reasons. If you cannot accept these reasons you have to learn the world doesn't revolve around you.

I find you are no longer asking for something to be implemented, but demanding for it, and we don’t take orders, we take suggestions and decide whether it is worth while or not, and again, we have decided NOT to implement this.

Yes I knew I wouldn't get paid and I have no problem with that, but you are expecting staff members to put in the level of commitment necessary for a full time job, or full time schooling, which is simply ridiculous. I like being able to say I'm top of my class in 2-3 of my 4 main subjects. Irl that means something when I apply to university in a few months. But saying I poor my heart and soul into 10-year-old game doesn’t get me anywhere.

You are wrong to say that staff members are no longer players; nowhere does it say that if you become a staff member you can no longer be a player. Therefore our opinions come from a player's point of view and from a staff member’s point of view, when you look at something from two different sides you can see the purpose to something, or lack there of.

I think that the role a GM involves a few little responsibilities like:

Hosting events
Handling in game issues
Answering pages
Telling players what I can about upcoming features and plans.

While the role of a DEV is to script the player suggestions that are approved by the staff team.

Oh yea, Maka asked me to continue to be a GM on INX, so he must have figured I knew what I was doing, and he hired me because he knew I’d be capable. So no, I don’t have the slightest idea of what it means to be a GM. So please, with all your experience as a GM and infinite knowledge, please, do tell me and the other staff on here what exactly it means to be a staff member because you seem to think we aren’t doing our jobs right.

Is my anecdote that bad? You are comparing two servers, one that will fulfill your request and that one won’t. While I am saying we could do something that will get, or keep 1 or 2 players, or we could do something that will get, or keep many more players. As it is, many players are complaining that the shard is taking too long to go up, so excuse us if we decide to focus on the more important issues at hand.

And to Pande.. I've got one small exmaple for you here.. Let's say you want icecream.. in this particular icecream-shop you get to choose wich flavours you want added to your icecream, Now you ask the icecream-man to give you strawberry and vanilla, but he responds, "I won't do that cause I'm to tierd to stretch that far to the left", instead I will give you chochlate seeing that's right infront of me... Now on the other side of the street there's another icecream shop wich will fullfill your needs and work that extra mile for you to get what you want? allthough they might be out of vanilla, they still give you strawberrys and another flavour wich you choose.

If we are close enough to a sphere replica that we have coded the little bugs from sphere in, then it is time to do feature requests.

I do not see how another mount does make this server less like sphere than any other custom stuff.

But of course something like new ridables need new animations, new patches for all of you and that. People are lazy. You were too lazy to do economy beta testing (now we have to do it ourselves), we are too lazy to implement things like this (for now).
Don't tell me that the staff should do all the betatesting, then we would not need to make public betas for you players.

When the server is finally up and we have some players enjoying the shard, then it is time to ask for enhancements which you would like to see. But right now, this is in staffers hands.
