I was thinking about it picking up the game, but I have heard a TON of negative commentary on it from people. The majority of the negative stuff I heard was over the targeting/combat system.
They need to hurry up and offer a trial so I can try it for myself without spending a small fortune on a game I am honestly not sure I will enjoy.
EDIT: Until then I have just hit 60 in Tera, I'm a bit intimidated by the whole grind ahead of me. Between gold being easy and the ability to pay for my own subscription via a small stack of gold.. I may just stay for now. It helps that I am one awesome Sorcerer. Erotic.Asphyxiation playing on Feral Valley now btw.

Really? Compared to Tera, the targeting system is a lot like WoW. The combat is drastically different than both Tera and WoW though, in that there are, literally, hundreds of skill combinations per class. Plus the World vs World pvp adds the large scale combat that I never saw in Tera and only saw in the beta videos of WoW.
It really is expensive though. I had to use a credit card just because I couldn't make myself spend the cash. Good news is it's free to play, so it'll pay for itself if you were previously spending that money on a subscription based MMO.
I'm definitely glad I bought it though. Tera had awesome vistas, but Guild Wars 2 puts every MMO I've played to shame, graphically. It's absolutely stunning.

I completely forgot that there was no subscription fee.
While I completely hated WoW.. I think I might be purchasing this game here shortly.

Will not allow me to choose Darkhaven as my server since it is labeled as FULL. Wow, once you choose a server it is permanent unless you purchase a transfer. What the shit is this?

It being full explains why I'm *always* in an overflow server. I'm going to assume people will be allowed to switch eventually, given that they're forcing friends on different servers because they fill up.

lol Lamby, if I wanted a hardcore grind then I would just go back to World of Warcraft. They know how to best keep the player grinding forever.

It must have been a while since you played. Its almost entirely quest/campaign based now (and free
).
