I really like the fizzle pvp arena and the fact that the shard is testing it. I'm afraid though that it will never be fully implemented cause of the poll being held here on the forum. Somehow the world is upside down and people actually prefer this pvp over fizzle pvp. I'm not sure if they never tried it, or if they suck at it but that doesn't really matter either.
I've seen a lot of people around the shard and forum who are looking for fizzle pvp and I was hoping that some of them by now found a proper uo shard that has everything in-uo has but with the superior kind of pvp. Then all the whining people here on the forum asking for fizzle pvp can all migrate there and be awesome together.
Win win for everyone!

What's the purpose of this thread?
If it's to find other shards then I can tell you right away that I will delete it since it's basically advertising.
I'm thinking about opening the fizzle area twice a day for an hour or something like that. Maybe then more players from fizzle servers will come here and possibly try out our PvP and actually enjoy it once they learn, just like a bunch of ex-fizzle-players have already.

If you want fizzle pvpers on your shard make it fizzle pvp.. I would like to hear from 2 ex-fizzle-players that enjoy this kind of pvp. I find it hard to believe its like a chess player who switches to checkers..
The goal of this post was first off to see if there is any hope of the fizzle pvp being implemented all the way. You took that hope away so that's good i guess.
Second i kind of did want to hear about another shard. It's not advertising, its taking care of the spam about fizzle pvp on the forum!
If we can move on, we can stop making posts about it!
You wont lose your player base, they seem to enjoy this shard a lot. And it is a great shard if you leave the pvp out of the equation.
It's just a pain to find a good shard these days and this is a nice way to reach a lot of uo players that might know about a nice fizzle shard.
Again no advertising, fizzle pvpers clearly are not the target group here.

Why aren't they a target group? These days everyone is in target group. UO'ers are disappearing... I know that there's a lot of people that got to this game because of the PvP. People that are really nostalgic about PvP on their favorite server, and maybe even closeminded regarding this question then yeah, these would have problems in adapting, altho like Taran said - many players with less hostility towards something they never really tried out might find this PvP fun within sometime, even though they first logged in just to duel few times on their old system...
I understand the frustration, you've returned the UO and you get to play another game instead. As UO Servers differ too much in gameplay from one to another... But some people that have open mind might actually like this PvP later as well.

I have given it a shot. I have played loads of uo shards this is not the first time i come across this crooked system. And actually i've been around here for a bit now fighting some reds at the bridge. It's just not what a lot of pvpers are looking for, and i know you cant make everyone happy. But don't say im not open minded, i'll give anything a shot to play uo again!

The changes the pro-fizzlers are calling for are extremely drastic in terms of their pvp implications. You can't expect something like that to be widely adopted in a short amount of time. A lot of people (myself included) are used to the current pvp system (obviously some better than others) and see no reason to completely relearn a new way of playing. It might be "better" but that doesn't mean it is for everyone. Where are these great fizzle-pvp shards that everyone enjoys so much?

That's the question! There used to be loads. I really enjoyed Arcodia, cecil's, Lothlorien, Santiago, coldfire. But they all died :<

well obviously your not..if you coming onto a forum of a game trying to find a different sever....you obviously dont know alot about our pvp... specially if all you have done is go to brit bridge

So your saying if i know more about your pvp i wouldn't want to go back to fizzle pvp? Cause if you had taken the time to read my posts, i've played this kind of pvp before. I know what it's like. And no still don't like it.

We did give it a shot.. But I dont like any part of this pvp style. IF you kill someone (after he ate 10-15 FS) he gets insta-ressed, then your out of mana and cant do shit. Plus, we just started on this server, the outfit you need to pvp here (pots, scrolls) costs like 6k at least everytime you want to go out. With a fizzle pvp system it would be possible to kill a guy who would be fully equiped and max skilled with 50 magery, no pots and just leather armor because of SKILL. Here I just see everybody spamming flamestrike or gheal, nobody even knows anything about LOS which is what makes the UO pvp legendary.
By the way Im talking about the world pvp, not the arenas, I could understand that could be a little fun but I found the fact that you need 4x4 tiled arenas to get someone killed 1v1 quite disturbing.
Anyhow, I like how GMs listen to the players here and made these fizzle arenas possible, I had loads of fun in them just like the old times. But if you want to attract fizzle pvpers then this is probably not what they're looking for, you give them a little glimpse of what could be (which is awesome!) and then take it away. I guess I'll just log in when the arenas are open cause everytime I go to a pvp area I just see groups of people who cant be killed, I seriously dont understand what is enjoyable right now.
