Ah awesome. Never knew Taran was planning to move the server. Hopefully it improves my connection.
At the moment I'm hovering around 340 ping (Which is unplayable) from Australia. If it could drop to 200 - 250. It would be worth playing as the majority of my play is pvp. Without a decent lag - It isn't possible.
I won't get my hopes up but hopefully it allows us Australians to join and pvp a little

Nice name. Game of Thrones is the best TV series to come out in a long time.

What do you both currently ping? Do you play or are you waiting for better ping?

Avg 434ms right now, I currently play but don't do a great deal beyond mining and macro'ing. Do a little hunting but don't wander far. Hoping ping will get better but if not I'll just continue as I always have, I don't really know any different. Never been on a shard that had a decent ping, no idea what running/galloping at full pace is even like.

You could try pinging this IP since it's probably there the server will go.

Well, I hope it improves for you guys, but don't let it hold you back, at least you always have a scapegoat
that's the way I tried to think of it when I used to play IN1 with dialup internet from rural northern England...

Avg 411ms ping, tried a dozen times with roughly same result every time. Taran mentioned it on chat earlier on and I tried it with same results then too. Slight improvement but not by much.

Never let it hold me back before and won't now, just use more caution when venturing out. Waiting till I get some more skills up before going out for a decent travel or hunt.

Ayleth pretty much covered it for me too. I get slightly higher ping now, so it's an improvement, I just have 0 plans to pvp with that kind of ping haha.

I get the same ping from Sydney with the new ip mentioned. Is that where the new server is going? Looks like it won't benefit the Australian players at all. Bah! what a dissapointment.
Anyways.. guess i'll move on.. I'm not interested in mining and being pked. I'm usually the one doing that!
If the server ever switches to the US.. let me know.
Cheers,
