Okay so, now that a few of you have tossed your opinions back and forth, I see it won't be a big deal to increase it. I'm thinking an increase of 500 to 1000 would be fine.
What about arrows/bolts stones? I'd like to see someone selling these for a profit if they want to and increasing those stones might actually allow that as well.

Quote:Run out of regs in a duel is part of PvP! If you do, you dead!
So lets add a Mana Recharger Stone, in case of you run out of Mana in the Duel.
But mana regen stone isn't xuo pvp, it's like me saying why don't we make the skill gain easier?
and i don't think u understand, good ppl like tech and gang can duel each other for 30 mins the amount of regs u need for that is crazy which is why they buy them sometimes when they duel. it's not like ppl go dueling with just 20 of each reg...
and yea shade i dont' think ppl mind if u increase the cost from the stones (all of them) by a little.

It should probably be 5,000 gp for a reg bag if not removed. It's only fair to allow players to sell reg bags, because this shard is a heavy PvP shard and to not allow other non-PvP'rs a chance to be involved in "PvP" here would be an attack at the very heart of the game!
And I think the bolt and arrow stone should be removed entirely.

Dude you seriously wont make that much money off selling reg bags cause people won't pay a huge markup on the standard reg price if they have to go find a player vendor selling reg bags only to find out he has 1 bag left when you need 5, or he has none left. Compare that to going to a stone which you know has unlimited reg bags and you don't have to go very far for it. Good luck with your reg selling business. Glad you're wasting your time on it and not me.
Do you not realize that people don't want to give up the stones? They don't want to have to give up in a duel to go get more regs. That would almost kill the point of having a ladder duel stone. And don't tell me they should stock up ahead of time because regs take weight, add that to your armor set, 2 or 3 different weapons, scrolls, pots, etc. You can't carry infinite regs on you.
As for excluding people from taking part in pvp, they can either learn it to take part, or fullfil the roll of someone who makes potions, scrolls, armors, hunts for xtreme armor and vanqs, etc. There are plenty of ways to 'take part' in pvp...

Its not about making money in the "reg selling" buisness. Im not a ****in moron, if you think I am going to go to reg vendors buying regs and just selling reg bags your a tar-tar. It about getting people to stop be dependant on things like reg stones, they are just lame. What did people do before reg stones? Oh wait UO must not of existed without ****IN REG STONES!!1! People used to have to get their own regs! I think that if the GM's allowed a PvP vendor area that was reachable by teleporter in the duel stone area and gave people protection to buy PvP gear from vendors it would be way better. You could sell scrolls, pots, reg bags with scrolls and pots all kinds of stuff. The staff could even charge players to have a plot in there since it would be a safe zone to buy gear. Like say each tile costs 25k with a 5k a week rent. You have created another money sink and allow players to sell their items.
Plus Eighty I am not the ONLY ****ing one that likes this idea. I am tired of being accused as the idiot with idiot ideas when all I want to do is make this a better place and I have a few people that ride me on every post I make trying to write me off as a joke. I didn't expect it from you Eighty, and smoke and Luda, well they are a little slower then most so I don't let them get to me.

I think turning it over to players to support reg bags is a good idea. You could buy different amounts (25, 50, 100, etc per bag) and even support new players who want to make some cash selling regs. I don't think that it "messes with XUO-style PVP" to remove the stones. I hate things that are automated that relay on machines (which didn't exist 'back then') that don't allow money to go to players/npcs. I'd rather see the convenience charge get put back in the hands of players.

I don't see why it's hurting anyone/what difference it makes to them.
Have you and Tech ever disagreed on anything?
You must be the peas to his carrots. Or are you the carrots to his peas?

Back on INR we had people who sold bulk regs like crazy. They marked up reg prices by one or two gold usually, which seems like nothing but it added up when they fit in buying up regs to their daily playing time.
I would like to see something like that here, same with arrow/bolts. Right now arrows and bolts are way too cheap and that needs to be changed. I would like to at least double their price, if not remove them.
If people want to be merchants of any item, they should be able to really.

Exactly. Bolts and Arrows are way to cheap, its not even worth making arrows or bolts on your own to use. I think it is a necessary for things like this to change or things will get dull quickly.
