Chaos Sheild
#25

Quote:Everything else can still be looted

So can I use my chaos sheild now?

Also it is kind of carebare because your helping players not lose their items.

Also what about all the gold Hiro spent to get his crook back?
#26

Anyone who is pro-pits and wants an invulnerability area shouldn't be allowed to say something is carebear. Rolleyes

I personally think its fine for shields to be stealable so long as players can buy another.
#27

Since I have no idea how much gold he spent and since it's wasn't a rule back then he won't get his money back.

As far as your first question let me quote myself
Quote:But as I said, the shields are still up for discussion.

At the moment shields are not stealable since they are bound to the owner.
#28

The problem in not bound the item to the owner is, I'm in a chaos guild and my guild mate want a chaos shield and I want a order, He got 10k fame and I dont, I just pass him the money and say to he buy both (Since I read somewhere you can have all 3 shields if you want). He pass me the order and he stay with the chaos.

I prefer Alzheimer than Parkinson. Better forget to pay the beer than pour it all.

Yeah pits bring back the good old xuo days, when everyone was lootable.
#30

also this rule should apply from here on AFTER, everyone before should be left as is as it was decided back then skill rewards were lootable.

what about my situation? if you just added the rule now, i get to keep the crook correct?
#32

The rule about skill rewards was not added today..
#33

so when was it added? it was obviously added after technique looted rupert's crook lol.

it was not added before i got the crook because you your self agreed with me in the thread lol, i can even quote it, you said it was fair game and you said people are stupid for leaving their items in there house.

If this is being enforced it makes no sense at all because then all the statics that were made before the static rules were made need to be demolished to enforce this rule
#35

Back then there was no rule about it and I simply followed my opinions on the matter because there was no rule. Problem was the staff team had different opinions on this matter. That was quite awhile back though.

I for one used to love house looting and always took everything I could, even if just 1 lockpick on their floor I would take it.
Though with those past experiences I can tell you, because of my actions (on other shards) many players quit.

In the long run, preventing a few simple items from being taken is better for the shard because we don't want players quitting because they lost something that they can never get back.

Basically, for the good of the shard you should be able to see why we would want to prevent it and even if you don't agree with it, you should be able to at least agree it may prevent players from quitting.

okay so back then there was no rule, so i don't have to give it back. Like I've always said for tours or different matters there must be rules. It's not my fault it wasn't clear and other GM's had opions I house looted it without doing anything illegal so I should be allowed to keep it.
