Just to let you know how much we have been working on the new server lately, here are some changes that have been made.
- There is now a slight delay before vendors call guards. They also have to be in LOS to call guards (doesnt apply if players call guards). They won't hit you a million times anymore and if you are lucky you can run away for quite a bit when they come.
- Basecreatures no longer have a hit delay meaning you can't get hurt 10 tiles away anymore.
- Removed the old command .showarrivemessage (.sam)
- Added a new command .DisplayLocation (.DL). When enabled you can use .ShowPlayers or .SP to get a list of the players with .DL enabled and their location/coordinates.
- Added support for client 7
- Enabled SE and ML artwork. You can now choose from more items when creating custom houses.
- Enabled the character transfer script again, this time without crashes. Everyone who played on the latest XUO version or IN:R will be able to import their chars by using the command .importcharacter
- Added house decay if you have more than 2 houses (statics not included). Decay period is 30 days and to refresh you or a friend of the house simply have to open your doors or the house sign. Your first 2 houses never decays. Single click or double click the house sign to see if it decays and/or how new the house is.
- Server will now auto restart if it crashes

All items drop to the ground until they decay. These items are subject to the same decay timer that any other item is when dropped.

I still think that all house's should decay for the first 30 days. EVEN your first 2 house's. There are a ton of house's out there that people own that don't play anymore and there is no reason why they should stay and take up space on the server when they will never be used.. Let them decay and then implement the update that the first 2 house's don't decay.

Since it's not that long left before the new server opens unofficially I'm going to post the complete changelog here. It will be moved to the "real" changelog Jan 31st.
- Updated to the latest RunUO distro SVN version
- The new veteran reward system added with the distro update should not be enabled (at least not how it currently looks)
- Added a new cliloc translator that fixed a cliloc string error
- Fixed spellbook name issue
- Fixed names, loot and strength on AOS, SE, LBR and ML mobs
- Corrected some issues with ML creatures
- You can now get 100k max when killing champs and harrowers instead of unlimited like before (precaution if damage bugs occur)
- Corrected guarded regions that were changed when we updated to the latest RunUO distro SVN version
- Changed real estate broker text to public overhead when he gives you money for your deed
- Bolts of cloths you get when creating a tailor arent newbied anymore
- Lowered the range on the shrinkpotion target and added a check when targeting so the potion is in range.
- Added gift gump and gift packages (will not be enabled until Jan 31st)
- Updated the hue list for the random mounts
- Added a new boss mobile: Fire Spirit
- Basecreatures no longer talk unless they are human
- Friends of mounts can now mount the mount when the mounted mount is no longer mounted
- Changed the chances of fishing up deep sea fish, slightly easier now
- Added a temporary bool check (TempCheck) on playermobiles to be used for temporary scripts (like the gift packages)
- You can now gate untamed creatures
- You can now herd tamed creatures
- Removed the "chat is not currently supported" msg
- Added a new command for staff: .ShowScore - Target a gamestone and it will display the scores to you
- Fixed minor bugs in CTF and CW
- Changed a public overhead message added in a distro update to sysmessage
- Disabled virtues added in the distro update
- The DeepSeaFishingPole now only consumes charges when the player has finished casting.
- Fixed an issue where rare plants displayed the wrong hue
- You no longer gain karma or fame when killing players in a NoFameLoss region (such as duelstones)
- You now get 90% of the value back instead of 80% when selling house deeds.
- You now get 90% of the value back instead of 100% when demolishing custom houses.
- Counselors now have access to .r (added more detailed logging to it as well)
- Added two new commands for staff: .cycle and .clearcycle. - .cycle will go through the online players in order of logged in time (longest login time first) everytime you use the command. It will start over once you have gone to every player online or when you use .clearcycle
- Staff members can now always use items even if they items are flagged as in an event and/or the staff is flagged as in an event
- Fixed an issue where crafting certain fireplaces wouldn't consume resources
- Fixed a rare crash issue with the AntiMacro gump
- You now go karma red at -9000 karma (meaning you can get guard whacked).
- You now gain/loose fame based only on the killed player's karma. Being red or aligned doesn't matter.
- Masks of orcish kin no longer makes you loose karma when equipped.
- Remade the whole eventsystem and made it better, players shouldn't notice any real difference.
- CriminalCheck on the current teleporters will now work again
