I was thinking that not everyone wants to buy a static house because they can't have it look how they want and that some of the more attractive static houses are already bought. So I thought it would be cool if those of us who already own a house could hire a staff to add some surrounding decorations at a fee. This surrounding area wouldn't be an expansion on your house (you can't lock anything down here), just decorations. I think this works as a good gold sink and it makes the world look more interesting for people running around exploring when they see someone has gardens set up outside their house.

Depending what you want done would have different pre-determined prices. For example if you want the staff to add a patio outside your house it would cost say 5k per tile (3k per tile for the price of a static house, plus 2k per tile for the staff's custom work) and then they can lock down benches you supply, or then can charge you 5k per bench, add a fountain at 50k, etc.

There's a ton of different stuff that the staff could do if people are willing to pay for it.

What does everyone think of this? And is anyone on the staff team is willing to do this?

Tiesto I think you missed the fact I'm talking about decorating the area around a house, you know, like outside the house where you can't lock stuff down. So no, I can't decorate this area myself. And in my original post I was also talking about doing this for classic and custom houses, not existing statics but of course there's no reason you shouldn't be able to do it for statics either if you want extra decoration around your house.

Would anyone care to explain why they said no? Or you're all just saying no because you personally wouldn't want it, or because you can't afford to have a GM decorate around your house, or because you already have a static and don't want other people to have nice things, or...?

Items that can be added outside your house would have to be very limited and none of them should be able to be used as expansion of your house. In other words, no fences or anything else that will block anyones passage. All items should be passable. This doesn't mean that this will or will not get implemented it's just my thoughts on it. If this was implemented I don't think there is any need for anyone specific to be assigned for this.

I agree it wouldn't be a good thing to add something like a fence, but just decorations to compliment your house.

In that case as far as I'm concerned there's no reason to not have it as long as a staff is willing.
