Oh hey this thread. I guess I'll give my two cents on S02E01. (Spoilers... hilight the text to read it. ^_^)
[spoiler]So for the first 5-10 minutes I was like, SLOW THE **** DOWN! PLOT, Y U SO RUSHED?
Then Twilight was all like "Durr I learned a new spell that'll take care of all of this." Then Rarity shows up for no reason dressed in some super-fancy crap and then suddenly Fluttershy's there and they're talking to her like she didn't just appear out of nowhere. Same with Pinkie Pie, though the scat jokes that got made from all the chocolate rain scenes were pretty funny for minute.
Then suddenly SLENDERBUNNIES and lassoing cotton candy clouds and it's all fixed, but then Spike coughs up his note from the Princess Celestia. (Oh, and is it just me or is that the first time ever that it made it look like coughing up notes hurts him?)
Then more super fast background story, Princess Celestria horn-****s a door, a big box of nothing and then the plot pacing goes back to normal.
After they get to the maze, I enjoyed the heck out of it a lot more. Especially Flutter*****-Tail-Slap. I was disappoint in Rainbow Dash, but she had the hardest challenge of any of them by far.
All in all, a good start. The beginning was too rushed and crazy, but that was to make sure everything fit. I actually liked it a lot more the second and third time I watched it. [/spoiler]

The most awesome thing is that John de Lancie (the dude who played Q in Star Trek) is doing the voice for discord but other then that I agree with you Eru and I love the face Applejack does when she lies c:
