Here's my suggestion on how it would let everyone get their way.
Option 1:
-If you turn the setting on you can see other people and they can see you.
-If you turn the setting off you can't see other people and they can't see you.
Option 2:
Add a timer on how often you can change this. Example: once every week or every 24 hours. This way you can't have the setting off for most of the time when you don't want people to know where you go and then turn it on for a short 10 minute time when you want to find people.
Option 3:
Setting is automatically on all the time for all reds and all guild players since these players have the risk of getting into a fight anywhere as it is.
Option 4:
A combination of the above.
Unfortunately my love we can't think this way. INX is a small shard for the time being and we have to add/tweak features as they suit us in our present state. If we ever get out of beta and grow to 100+ players (or whatever most people find is a 'large' shard) then we can revisit features like this or stealing as needed. There aren't more people coming to play this 10+ year old game. UO basically has what it has and people are only moving from one shard to another, not one game to UO. And as it is that doesn't happen very often. People are set in their ways.

Its even worse than coordinates. Imagine, you gank with friends in ocllo, then u have to recall, and bam everyone sees for example "Eighty Swords entered papua" , and everyone from ocllo recalls there. In your case its not that harmful since you're blue, but for reds it would suck. And you don't need to tell me something like "reds should have disadvantages" etc.. Cos I know it and I have em already. What I mean is - If this thing will be in place it will harm noone, but reds. And people will think twice before getting more than 4 kills after it
