Staff are doing a great job of late! I've been doing a lot of afk macroing the past few days and more then half the times when I check up on my character I see a message like 5 mins to ctf or reg, etc.

What people need to realize is that players are human too, and not everybody has time to log in for 5-10 hours every day. For example I'm playing hockey tonight so I probably won't be on til after 9pm or at all tonight, Thursday and Saturday there are habs playoff games so I'll be watching those and not running around brit, Monday I have tickets to a habs playoff game so I won't be on. I'm sure everyone has schedules and busy days in their lives where they don't log on. Don't put the lower player count on the staff being inactive, think for a minute that maybe the players are busy too.

Being a former staff I know you can go nuts after a while. Especially when you spend your time trying to entertain people and someone dies in a reg so you put them out, then they b*tch at you saying omfg i lagged to death, that's not fair, put me back in. When you tell them no they turn around and say omfg you're corrupt, I'm reporting you to staff!! Yes that's very appreciated to be b*tched at when spending my time to help you have fun.

Or when you do captains for a team event and people turn around and say teams aren't fair, that team is 100 times better. Well it's not the staff's fault the captains made bad picks. Or after an event someone says wow my team sucked, well again it's not the staff's fault someone left in the middle of the tour and just went afk.

This should help people see why some staff say they feel unappreciated.

As for always saying staff are doing a great job, from what I see on the forums it's 50-50. Last week people said 'great job we had 40-50 clients on, keep it up!'. This week it's 'staff suck, why only 3 events in the last 2 days?'

Sh*t if you page about smelting daggers and it's not answered in your self imposed 2 second time limit, come post on the forums and see if someone else answers it for you. Some of you guys are as bad as clients I deal with at work; I tell them I'll call you at 10:30, at 10:29 they call and say 'you didn't call me yet, wtf is this I pay for this support and you don't even call me back'. Back on topic; you'd be surprised at the answers you can get from other players. As a little tip, try answering other people's questions too and you might have a better chance of them answering your questions in return!

I've seen plenty of staff members online the last week. I've also seen a lot of events hosted by staff members.

But they can't always be there 24/7 for you, sometimes there will be a gap for a few days where nothing is happening. That's bound to happen because staff need breaks too.
We have plenty of automated events, try to have some fun without a staff member to holding your hand for once.

i know taran but i was actually stuck because of some tiles where i was hunting events are not the only thing i stated in my post =/ I waited an hour alone trying to figure out what to do since none of my friends had a rune and finally luda and scare found Sidren (sorry if mispelled name) and he took them to where the dungeion i was =/ in total it was about 2-3 hours of disaster because with the client i used (ones on the forums) the tiles were placed incorrectly and i died and was stuck in the ground. Next day odium fixed it but no items were replaced =/

With all due respect, I think the staff have done a wonderful job.
If i can place them in order by the most production in my eyes from a players point of view i'd say...
1-Shade (BY FAR)
2-Odium
3-Muto

I havent joined an event in the past 4 days i think and it might just be because of the Canadian timezone which always has been and by the way it looks, will always be an issue because thats life i guess. Im just saying, staff may be active and workin on the shard but at the same time, when your online with 39 other players and theyre all in pits complaining that they havent seen an event in the passed few days and theres no active staff. . . then there is a problem and I want to see this shard grow again, trust me, i brought alot of people back with me and more will come but, we need to maintain these players and thats something I cant do, thats up to the staff. So i think we need more activity. Deathmatch is a good idea, the automatic one, but why join a DM if theres no prize? I can go kill kids in Occlo and get scrolls.. I just think that there are little things that can help and active "hosting" staff is key right now. Especially since we have a playerbase coming along.

Damn right now we have 17 players on.

A few days ago we were having 40 avg during the day and around 30-35 at night when everyones asleep.. What happened people?

Im not blaming staff for the sudden drop because players should not quit just because there hasnt been an event in a couple days.. It just shows that some people didnt care and will only play if there is stuff happening 24/7

Thats why i say we need lots of events atm because with the current playerbase we cant keep ourselves occupied with some fun

But as the activeness continues thanks to events more players would join and eventually we wont need events for fun.

( I may have left some reasons out because im not thinking clearly atm due to some *stuff* but i think i have the main worry down )
