ok i just had this idea.

i was thinking that this shard needs something extra that gets people up and running. think if you had spell book that had 1 extra spell, or magical weapon that made flame strike every 5 hits or so.
these item could be rewards for huge quests or big pvp tournys. the thing that would make these not so uber is that there would be 1 week decay timer and they could be looted... this way they would be used in pvp/pvm and people would not just leave them inside bank to dust.

the spell book would have 1 extra spell that made it suitable in pvp/pvm but you'd had to have it in your hand to use it. the name would be diffrent and color everytime and maybe it could be reward from some pvp/RP/monster quest. 1 week decay timer and not newbied so that it would be used.

the magical item... maybe staff or katana that made flame strike,energy bolt,lightning or something when you hit with it.. but not everytime so that it would not be "uber". this could be reward from pvp tourny or some monster/rp quest too and ofcourse it has 1 week decay and not newbied so that i you'd had to use it

We already have weapons that have special hits on critical strike

Hell's Halberd does explosion damage, Judgement Hammer does lightning strike and Black Widow does poison.

Sounds cool, as long as it can't be used in duel stones/tours to have huge advantage just cos of items. But if it would be usable in the world pvp and u would risk it, i like the idea.

I meant about the weapons Dunno about spell. Completely new spell can affect so much on PvP.
Uo is old game, and if u r already bored of it, one spell won't solve the problem, but can hurt very touchy balance

If I was gunna add some spells, I'd use meteor swarm. That would be a really nice alternative to fs, even with identical functionality but a different spell graphic. Since it'd be identical except for the graphic and the power words, you could change the spell name to whatever you want. Adds more variety to pvp and you wouldnt just see kal vas flam all the time.

And I'd also like to see something like chain fireball. Shoots out 3 fireballs in rapid succession for multiple low damage hits. Something to break reflect and cause some extra dam. Costs more mana then a lightning, and longer overall cast time, but if all 3 fireballs connect it does more damage then a single lightning strike. Dunno how it would work out in real dueling and pvp scenarios but could be fun to try out.

Yes heaven forbid anyone ever attempt to add to anything involving the pvp system. Everyone knows it cant be done cause its perfect after all.



From a spectators perspective, the pvp looks pretty boring. 95% of all the spells casted are FS and lightning. There are ways to add variety to the arsenal without hurting the pvp balance.

edit: Oh yeah and like sam said I'd like to hear your ideas on the hunting spell to alleviate BS spam.

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]from a playable view it is the best one out there, confirmed by many. And involves the most "skill" less random based (if we dont count in "lag")

And from a spectators view i have never found it more boring than to watch someone using for example posion.(wish still CAN be used on weapons for example) (this system look managable)

(if you think it looks boring and so on because everyone look the same and use the same weaps and not posion on weapons etc, i think maybe we should host more NON autosupplied tornys... fells like it could be time to start that.)

Also it is what old player know and like as this is how sphere pvp did work.
