Statics,Tourney,Guard line!!!
#1

Can it be made to buy rooms in the inns that are in town? Because there empty with 1 npc in there. Reasonble prices because they are different sizes.

Sweet Dream Inn 1498 1624 britain
Ironwood Inn 2771 972 vesper
Vesper Youth Hostel 2969 878 vesper

Can the prices be lowered some for buying a static?

New Idea *Bar fight tourney bottles are weapon make them throwable and players must be drunk in tourney.*

Is it possible to extend the guard line at 1723 1548 east for players who are crafters that half to use lumberjacking.

3k per tile is a good price for statics, its more expensive obviously then a normal house, which it should be cause they are either in town or unique/different from standard houses. I could be wrong about this but dont they already allow you to buy rooms of houses if they are segmented? I know Red Eye Jedi has a room in the building just south of brit bank. The problem with making specific rooms available of a static like an inn is, what if someone comes along with the cash to buy the whole inn? They cant now because someone is living in just 1 room of it. Its not fair to other players to do that.

This way you could "reserve" a whole static for yourself just by buying a room and nobody else could buy the whole static. You could then take however long you want to get rest of the money together and buy rest of the place.

I think you have to buy all basement, so after that you "reserve" the area, to buy second floor and roofs.( if It have second floor and roofs ¬¬ )

well, it isnt fair to both sides. A rich player would be harmed, but a poor player would be too. Why a poor player couldnt buy a humble room?
In the other side, it could be a market target, a rich player would buy the static and rent it to others.

that justification, Jirayia, isnt fair for both sides. a rich player hasnt more rights i think. I would like to buy a humble static room, why not? if a player buy the whole static he could rent it or only be able to buy it in those terms. i would like that business, a static for rent, xxxK for month or xxxK forever. but instead of paying to the staff it would be paid to the owner :p.

Well I think the staff should figure out how much a inn is worth first of all. That way they can decide if it is possible to sell the whole static or just to sell the rooms. I was wondering if the prices of tiles be lowered for the inn rooms only not every static that is availble in the game because you got alot of gold you could buy the whole inn or go buy a very unique static instead. But what if a player wants to buy a inn room and it cost more than a one room house there probaly stay away from the inn and go take a risk out in the world and get pked. If it was made alil safer for new players maybe they might like the idea that guards are close by because i have been killed in a small stone tower before. Also they could gather gold for a while to build a custom house or buy a big static. And macro in town with little chance of dieing and not half to recall as much and take a chance of getting killed or letting someone in there house that is out in the world.

But I see ur point about rich players and poor players buying a static because no matter how u go at it there is a chance that it is unfair to both sides. The inns in the world are basically empty with one npc in them I think the town and the world would look a whole lot more alive if u could get rooms at the inns.

I like the idea of a rich player buys a whole inn and rents or sells rooms to players that would be sumin new to see and possibly do.

Well if the inn has two floors sell one floor to a rich player and sell the other rooms on the other floor to players. That is the only way it would be fair to both sides.

Also it could be a market place for vendors to be placed in town to sell things to blue players and newbies and old.

Nothing at all stopping a poor player from buying ANY of the small 1 room static houses all over most towns. So what exactly is your point?
And no, a rich player doesnt have more rights then a poor player. They do however have more purchasing power. Gold is the currency to trade for resources, the more of it you have the more you can get. I guess when you go in to buy reagents with 12 gold, they just give you 10k of each eh? Blacksmiths selling you 200k igs for 500g? I'm just baffled by your logic.

I dont mean to be rude, but the whole point of having statics put up for auction is that the person prepared to spend the most money gets it. I mean what you two are talking about is like the UO equivilent of welfare. Rich players and poor players are both players, one has worked hard and made money, and one hasn't. Why should someone who's worked for their 2m cash to buy a nice static be denied because some guy wants to pay 30k for a safe macro room in guard zone in a big house? Want a static? Save up the cash and buy it like everyone else has done. There are a TON of small one room statics all across the map, find one you like and buy it. You two are way over-complicating things with this trying to sell off small portions of buildings.

That being said, making the inn rooms rentable doesnt sound like a bad idea. But this whole discussion is really pretty pointless. I had a 1 room shack for like 2.5 months, how many times did I get pk'd there while macroing? *drumroll........... ZERO*

Also with the actual playerbase and player active you have to be the most unluck guy of the whole ****ing world to be pked in your house. And you can macro at brit bank or any city bank and still be safe.

The ONLY way to be killed in a town is by fs, but if you is smart you can put a line in your macro "if hp < 99 -> use bandeid -> dbclick blood bandeid-> target pitch of water -> end if" so people cast one fs, die, wait 5 min to pass crim and when reach you again you is at 100hp.

So I dont see the need in have an house in midle of a town to be a SAFE macro place.

Ok maybe that idea about the inns is a bad one heck i dont know. I am not sure you can buy the whole inn static anyways so I dont know if it would work or not. But if the shard gained some players it would be a good static for a guild to buy and customize with members having only access to there private rooms seperate from other guild members. Well this is my last post about the inn idea!!!

My ideia about big statics is that they work better for guild as you said, and that is one of the reasons why it dont need to be to much cheap, cause a guild with 3/5 members can easy buy a big static without any problem. They just need to work a bit to make money.

Jirayia i really understand your point and i didnt want to be rude when i said those things.
However, it would be a new market. New ways are always better, but oh well i just gave an idea. Buying a static to sell some rooms, would be good. Or renting some rooms.

I believe we have a system already implemented that allows players to rent static buildings, as it is part of the system we use to sell them and set the region to a house. I have yet to try it out but glancing over it, it seems it can be set to either a daily or weekly rent. On top of that, the places set to rent are able to be restricted based on skill level.

It seems it might not be a bad idea to put the rooms in Brit Inn for rent so the newest of players could rent it for a really low price while they get started. With a skill restriction it would also prevent it from being abused or making new players miss out as well.

As a new player, would any of you rent out a room for say 1k a week until you can get settled and have enough skill to make money a bit faster then you could on day 1?
